This guy just hasn't played well in big games lately...it's strange...i don't know what it is...but this loss...might just mess with him even more now.

I just hope he shakes it off and doesn't carry it to the grave..

He didn't lose us the game..but had plays that he wants back..unlike eli the past two SBs they played each other

Nah.

They'll be part of a continuum of life experiences for him.

He's already accomplished what few in his profession have even dreamed of doing.

He has a family and good friends.

He's still, in the grand scheme of things, very young.

And he has more money than he could spend in a dozen lifetimes.

He'll always be disappointed in things that he might feel he could have accomplished that he didn't, like everybody whether famous or not.

But, "haunted?" No. He'd be haunted if one of his kids was very ill or if a real tragedy befell his life or the life of someone close to him.

But, I think you can rest assured that Tom Brady won't be "haunted" by what happened on a football field tonight or four years ago. Perhaps to a greater degree than many of us, he knows it's just a game.

Unfortunately, unless something is remedied in the coming seasons the 2 Superbowl losses drop Brady below Montana in discussion for the greatest of all time as it stands.

Hopefully, he and the Patriots will have another opportunity to add to the winning side of the ledger.

Yeah, that sucks, no question about it.

Hopefully, he and the Patriots will have another opportunity to add to the winning side of the ledger.

That's the bright side: the team the Pats field in Week 1 of 2012 should be significantly better than this one was.

11 year career so far
5 SB appearances
3 SB tropies
6 AFCCG appearances
League MVP
SB MVP
50 TD passes record
Married to Gisele ;)
MultiMillionaire
Forever a hero in New England...guy could run for Governor and win in a landslide
....probably budding political career

You expect with this resume he will care to be haunted with anything ?

All in all, he probably does need to lower the expectation level...2001-2004 teams were special and we had lot of good karma going for us. Last 2 SB's Giants have had good karma. I guess it happens

Your in bed with a pile of money on 1 side and Giselle on the other. Who would blame you for hitting the snooze bar a couple times?

I thought this was one of Brady's better SB performances.

He's still the best ever, what this guy does with whatever receivers he's ever had throughout his career is remarkable.

Give Brady a Jerry Rice type player in Moss and look what he did? Both games he put his team to win but his D couldn't stand up and stop Eli and instead make bonehead play after bonehead play to allow the Giants to get the win with no time for Tom to come back down.

Here's what Tom will do:

Get a massage or three.
Get some TLC from his supermodel wife.
Eat a few catered gourmet meals.
Play with his kid.
Soak up the sun for a couple weeks in Costa Rica.
Check his investments.
Shop for artwork and furnishings for his $20 million California mansion.

I'm not worried about him being "haunted" by anything. I'm more worried about myself having witnessed both Super Bowl losses to the Giants in person.

He's struggled in the last 2 AFCC's as well.

He's no Montana until he gets that 4th ring, especially given this recent pattern.

I'm not sure he'll be haunted by the 2 superbowl losses as much as that idiotic intentional grounding/safety.
I expect boneheaded plays from the likes of Romo or the now retired Favre, but that was a headscratcher...

WTF???

I don't know. I personally see Tom and Gisele as more of a rough, wild kind of couple

Anyway, I think that this loss will do nothing but motivate him. He knows that his play alone could have won the game, and he'll bust his rear end to make sure that he can make the plays the next time they count.

Yes. It is the Superbowl after all, and if he's a great competitor then this will hurt especially considering it's the same team. I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks he will just brush this off.

However, I see the silver lining in this-

Look at Kobe Bryant-

-3 Rings
-1 Finals Loss
-1 Finals Loss exactly 4 years later
-2 Rings

Then Tom

-3 Rings
-1 Super Bowl Loss
-1 Super Bowl Loss exactly 4 years later

I hope to see the same pattern for Tom with 2 more Super Bowl rings, but I would settle for 1 ring that would put him over Joe Montana. He's already > Peyton Manning so...

Next time please have Gisele sitting in the family section blending in with everyone else so the camera can't find her.

As soon as they showed her again I just sighed...I'm not blaming her or anything, but let's do things differently the next time please.

Except for the safety and perhaps the INT, I'm not seeing where Brady stunk. I think too many crucial passes were dropped. We can all thank Bernard Pollard for Gronk. He was barely visible. Branch used to play better in big games too.

We need some viable deep threats and a beefed up running game. The offense is the reason we lost, not the D, though that needs significant help as well.

Huh, the parallel with Kobe is pretty interesting. However, Kobe is cold hearted...he can miss 20 shots but he never doubts that his next one is going in. Brady doesn't seem to exude that quiet confidence, that "I'm the best and am going to prove it to you" attitude anymore. It flashes occasionally (vs the Broncos), but usually he looks like he's just playing not to lose these big games.

Benard Pollard is the man. Easily one of the best Strong Safeties in the game...
Well, the AFC is turning into a joke. The Patriots are going to be rebuilding, the Steelers are going to be rebuilding, and same with the Colts and Jets. The only threats are Cincinnati, Baltimore, and Houston.

But, Benard Pollard made a great play and owned Gronki. The Patriots need to have better depth at the TE position.

You're kind of dumb.

John Elway says hello.

I've been concerned about that too. I don't think he recovered from Super Bowl 42, and neither did Bill ( where is his cold-blooded, and show no mercy coaching?). That was a really devastating loss. I don't care who you are. That really would damage your psyche, then add in his injury that put him out for a season.

His facial expression is "I hope I don't make mistakes and blow it." It's like there is a nervous energy and quiet panic.

I think that needs to get addressed by someone like a psychological professional. "I'm going to do better." and "I hope that we have a parade." don't cut it. That is just passive and lacks conviction. Like let me soften the blow if I botch this.

The thing with successful people is that they own their dreams, goals, and aspirations.

You have to say, really believe, and own that you are going to go out there, and accomplish your dreams.

Where is the scrappy 6th Round draft pick who was determined to show the world even though they wrote him off he was going to be one of the greatest if not the greatest quarterbacks ever?

It's looks like he's been replaced with a "I'm just happy to be here wherever that is." quarterback.

Like I said I hope he wins 2 rings, but I'll settle for one. However, the window is rapidly closing.

I personally think Kobe is narcissistic, but his personality helped him get 2 more rings so...

Living in LA here and a lakers fan, I actually just thought that the hate on Kobe outside of LA and the hate on Brady outside of pats fans are pretty much the same somehow, people say brady and BB can't win without a spy camra, do you know how many people who hates the lakers told me that Kobe can't win a ring without a big man making plays for him? And just like someone said here, the only difference is that Kobe is cold-blooded killer while Brady is acutally pretty soft compare to Kobe, no offense to Brady here but it is the truth.
