Didn't score 20 pts in the last 2 SB's.
This is the only reason we lost! Did you think we would win without scoring 20 pts? I didn't and bet you didn't either.
Defense did their jobs in both games.

Let er rip........

To be honest I do put a lot of the blame on the offense but there is plenty to go around all three phases of the game had their moments of stupid moves.

I believe the defense played the best nobody gave them any positive marks yet they did pretty damn good.

How many windows have you guys punched in? I'm on my 4th.

Given the Patriots predominately run a two tight end offense, having Gronkowski seriously hobbled and being dependent on receivers hurt the offense. Every receiver the Patriots have outside of Welker is a B or C grade type.

The Patriots didn't execute down the stretch on offense in the key moments. You can complain all you like, the fact is the Patriots were in the lead with 4 minutes to be played.

The Pats were in the lead with 1:10 left to play.

I agree the fact Gronk was far less than 100% killed the offense. They just didn't have the guns and the two guns they had were being doubled all game.

I'm still trying to figure out how people are saying that the Pats didn't execute in the Special Teams portion of the game..

Was there a huge punt return that I missed? How about a kick return to the 50 or something?

How exactly did the defense play great? Turnovers? Getting the Giants off the field? Stopping the final drive? Sorry, bend don't break is an illusion. Regardless of how the offense is playing they need to be on the field to score points and this defense did very little down the stretch to get the ball back to the offense.

I'm sure you understand the point I was making Rob. People can complain about the Offense all they like, and sure, they were some rather big problems with it today, but for the second Superbowl in a row to the Giants, the defense failed down the stretch again.

As I've mentioned elsewhere, win and lose as a team. Today exemplified that. Neither executed when needed.

I'll say it the last time
The O scores 20pts, we have 2 more rings!
The defense can be better but they did not lose this game.

Offense didn't do enough I agree. Defense did enough to win. Offense laid yet another turd.

5 SBs, 6 AFCC games in 11 years, a regular season of 16-0, 29-7 in the last 2 years and a SB record of 3-2. The most spoiled fanbase in America.

Yes it is a great history to have, no one is going to take that away but it doesn't change the fact that the offense we have just hasn't been living up to it's end of the game.

You have to admit that the defense played well beyond itself tonight. While the offense left a lot to be desired-sloppy blocking-sloppy attempts at catching the ball-sloppy throws.

This has been my team since 1974 and that won't change but not everything is roses here.

I'm not going to get into the blow by blow on what our offense did or didn't do today, but all I will say is this:

If you had told me at 6PM that the Pats defense would hold the Giants to 21 points, I would have started planning for the victory celebration.

19 actually.

Offense should have done more. The drops by the WRs didn't help.

Everyone at work always tells me I am spoiled,
Celts,Bruins,Sox,Pats in the playoffs every year.

Of couse I work with a lot of Bills fans....haha

We are an OFFENSIVE team.

As an NFL team, you can either throw money into your offense, or defense. Most of our money is locked up on the QB.

Our defense isn't expected to be the Ravens. Never have been expecting that. They're just supposed to keep it close and let our offense win games.

The offense failed to do that. They had many chances, but they failed.

I agree it was a team loss, but it was lost in part before that final drive. Plenty of plays were big contributors the loss of this game. The safety from Brady. Twelve men on the field when the Pats caused a turnover. Plenty of others. If the Pats executed better on a number of plays and that final Giants' drive would never have happened. They lost because of mistakes in all phases.

It's been my team since 1960 (my Dad took me to their first game against Denver). Agreed, the defense played well but do you think the Giants defense had anything to do with the final score?

one of those games.

this ones gonna hurt. Big time.

Win as a team. Lose as it.

Still want 3 of the first 4 picks on D though.

O-line did an incredible job tonight. Cannot fault them for anything.
