Awful heartbreaking loss and I'm bitterly disappointed with this loss.

I'm also bitterly disappointed with the thread titles that I saw here when I got on. Some of you fellow Patriots fans are acting like 2nd graders.

If you want to vent do it on this thread. Please stop embarrassing yourself and this board. Just post your rants here.

Thanks.

When things went down to the wire, with 54 seconds left, Welker, Branch and Hernandez dropped catchable balls. These guys chose the worst time to become choke artist and I feel literally sick to my stomach right now.

People will say they didn't want it enough, but I think they wanted it too much. Just one play out of the 7-8 missed plays and they would have had it.

Woodhead and Moore as my players of the game.

Just like the last time, it'll be a while before I'm getting into anything football related.

What a ****** **** punch...

Wes Welker really broken up about the missed big play. "it's one I'll have to live with," he said, fighting back tears.

Welker absolutely disconsolate: "Its a play I've made a thousand times."

just feel bad for him. Sh*t happens sometimes

Ok a few vents coming:

1. Idc if we have to spend 10 million a year, I don't care if we have to use a 1st round draft pick, I don't care if we have to trade a 1st round draft pick, GET A #1 WR!!!!

2. Someone may be asking, "we had Moss and 07 and 09 and lost" Picture Mossman with the two stud TEs? Our WR core is a joke.

3. Sterling Moore is a keeper. Played very well tonight, interested to see how he grows.

4. RAGEEEEEEEEEE

I'm in pain but much, much less than in SB42. Come to think of it. If it was me on defense with 20 seconds left trying to stop an offense at midfield who needs a TD, I'll put 12 guys on the field all day long. Takes time off the clock, you prevent any big play from happening because you have more guys on the field, and you only give up 5 yards for burning like 6 seconds.

I can't believe that Wes Welker lost us a football game by dropping a pass.

Obviously the whole game isn't on him, but that about puts it away.

I still want him back, but damn

The issues on both sides of the ball reared their collective heads at the most inopportune time today. I'm disappointed and honestly feel like the Patriots cost themselves today.

Bit part players and cast-offs aren't going to get it done. It's time for some real difference makers in positions of need. The Patriots are well placed moving forward, but as I said, this hurts and congrats to the Giants and everyone affiliated with them.

People who don't want welker back...**** you.

So many morons on this forum right now...hopefully they don't breed

Feel bad for Wes but can't disagree. That was the game.

The offense just never shows up against these fools.

What about the Brady INT? Ninko offsides? This wasn't on Welker

Its over, NY has a dynasty

Reading the tweets from Reiss, Curran, and Rap I feel even more sad...

Chances to go up by two scores is what bothers me. That would have been the game. Brady had a great stretch, but again made some less than perfect throws, including the one to Welker.

We need a pass rush. Sound like a broken record? Yeah, we lost Carter early in the year and Anderson has been decent, but BB's reluctance to draft talented pass-rushing players early in the draft continues to haunt this team.

Mankins plays great until he gets on the biggest stage.

Hindsight is 20/20, but the hurry up was working. disappeared in the 4th. I know that the Pats were trying to run down the clock, which is understandable. But it seemed to get the team out of rhythm a bit.

What was the ******* point of Ocho? Tapping out after just one play? Feck him, he should not even bother coming back to this locker, i will clean it up for him. Very disappointed in that acquisition.
Need to clean house and plan for life after Brady. Losing the Super Bowl comes with lots of bad luck the next season.

The point is that the game was lost before 54 seconds left. Welker was wide open and Brady didn't hit him. Yes, he could have caught it, but Brady misfired. He threw behind Branch. Hernandez was just a drop, but at that point in the game everything has to be perfect. The game was lost before they got the ball back.

I don't agree...

Spend everything on Defense, Get some pass rushers who can dominate, get some Corners who can play man, and get some linebackers, who when blitzing, can get past an Olineman who's already engaged with a DLineman.

Our LBs blitzes are pathetic, Mayo ran into the line and disappeared all night.

If we continue to try and win championships with Offense, then we will continue to be disapointed. DEFENSE wins Championships, we won 3 like that... and the Giants just won ANOTHER one at our expense.

Why stop at 12? Have like 19 guys. Heck, put Bellichick out there in coverage.

welker dropped the ball with over 4 minutes to go..no one knows what would have happened. Pats could have ran it twice and with a 3rd down incompletion, settle for a FG, making it a 5 point game. Eli would have had plenty of time to score the TD.

They might have won if he caught it, but for from a guarantee.

Brady is running out of "Next Year's", and I don't know how much longer I can stomach 4th quarter chokejobs by the entire team. God do I hate watching a game just KNOWING the D will blow it or the O will be involved in some stupid play. Mankins should be paying the Pats money to not cut his *****...maybe if Belichick watched the 42 tape he would know the Giants had a field day with him. Brady needs a sports psychiatrist because he's dogcrap in the 4th quarter. But of course, Welker was no better. I was thinking they were grabbing an awful lot of passes and making it look easy, and then there are Welker Branch AND Hernandez letting the ball bounce off their hands at the end.

At least if Cundiff hits that kick we're spared this freakin misery again.
