On NFL Network he was talking about spreading the Chargers out.

"Last time I saw the Patriots spread a 3-4 defense out was the Jets and Tom Brady had 11 sacks against him."

I guess he missed the memo that the Jets played last week and lost.

Makes you wonder if he watched last week's game.

But I think they can spread San Diego out at times and have quick step drops against them.

I just noticed the same thing. He's terrible.

He isn't AT ALL bitter though, nope, not him. It's bordering on pathetic at this point.

I e-mailed the NFL Network a few weeks ago complaining about Faulk. He is the epitome of a former player who has no business in broadcasting. His grammar is embarrassing.

Do you really think he's bitter?

Faulk has been miffed at the Pats ever since he got shut down in SB 36 - Thats all

Only Deion Sanders at the NFL network is worse,He borders on retarted broadcasting comments.

Considering the Jets don't play a 3-4 anymore...

I know I am in the minority, but I actually find Deion Sanders to be rather funny and entertaining (not necessarily a good football analyst). I liked him even better when he said about the hit to Rodney Harrison, "You don't hit the old man like that in this league!" and other such comments, supporting the Pats' players' contention that it was a dirty hit. He is a big Ravens homer this playoff season though.

Aren't the Jaguars a 3-4 defense? Guess he missed that game too. PS - someone else said the Jets don't play the 3-4, but they do. Haven't you heard all the Jets fans lament that Vilma's talents are being wasted in the 3-4?

Sanders has toned down his act a little for the NFLN and is actually quite insightful.

The Jags are not a 3-4.

That does not discredit the point that Faulk is misusing history. Pick the Chargers. I can't fault anyone for that. But come up with better reasoning than how the Jets preformed 9 weeks ago. Doesn't last week hold more weight?

Additionally they rarely blitz. I actually like the spread against the Chargers MORE than against Jax, as the Chargers will usually have 5 guys coming at Brady and 11-5 is smaller than 11-4 which means less guys to cover the zones. 2-3 seconds, Brady finds someone open. Less than that, he gets smooshed.

I like alot of announcers and writers in sports but Faulk I can't stand. I could care less if he picked the Pat's at all. It's just he's such a biased jerk towards the Pat's and you can tell from his sour grapes statement after SB36.

I can't believe they would demote Terrel Davis in favor of Faulk. The difference between the two is night and day. I thought TD was doing a pretty good job as an analyst. He was contrite, unbiased and gave you a quality opinion that seemed to come from his head and his heart.

Marsha Faulk on the other hand seems to ooze opinions from his ego and seems angry that he is still not the main weapon on the football field anymore. If anyone should be bitter it should be Terrel.

Why in the world would Faulk still be bitter about getting his ass whooped in the SB? :D

Maybe he's angry his pick to win the AFC East and to be AFC runners-up, the Dolphins, had a stinker of a season.

Solomon Wilcots and Jamie Dukes, meanwhile, are the best analysts NFLN has to offer.

I don't think the pats can get away with the mugging they did on faulk to LT. They'll get flagged too many times.

The reffing has changed dramtically.

Last season against the eagles. Lt had 17 carries for 7 yards, but that was last season.
