I look primarily at the big difference at ILB between 2007 and 2011

In SB 42 we had Bruschi and Seau, both long time veterans who had been in Super Bowls before....it seemed at the end of that game they were wearing down.

This year we have a totally different cast at ILB,veterans in Mayo and Spikes, but nowhere as long in the league as Bru and Jr.

What is better in a Huge game like the Super Bowl?

.....Youth and Speed Like we have now?,or Older but Super Bowl experienced veterans?

youth and speed > veteran leadership

I just hope the whole defense plays lights out this game and start creating their own legacies.

Young and fast because that's how football is played. That's if you assume the young players are well coached and know exactly what their job is. The whole experience thing is overrated in opinion. If the young guys were productive and reliable through the regular season and post-season they should do fine the SB.

Great question. First thing I did was rank them.

1. 12 mayo
2. 07 Bruschi
3. 12spike
4. 07 seau

I want the best player of the group which is mayo. The difference between 12spikes and 07 seau is somwhat close. Both also bring intagibles. I would go mayo/spikes.

would love Mayo,Bruschi for this game though.
