Josh has been under fire all year,From the fans to the media to NEM himself:D
I think this game could have a huge impact on the future of our OC McDaniels,He must have a master game plan in place to neutalize the Chargers defensive pressure, especially a monster pass rusher like Merrimen and Jamal coming up the middle of the line.

If Brady and company are successful in making San Diegos defensive pressure kept to a decent minimum I think we will have Josh for years to come as OC,If we cannot find ways to avoid this and Brady cannot get in touch with this offense you might see some changes affecting Josh's future with the team,Its only one game but its an important one and Josh needs a hell of a game plan.

The only other true monster pass rusher in the league we have played this year 'Jason Taylor' killed us and McDaniels offensive plan did not work,If our offense plays like it did then we will get crushed again, Heres hoping McDaniels makes us all proud to have him as OC on our team - At least till the monster D-line at Baltimore await us next (Gulp!:D ) and another huge test for the OC.

Sigh.

He's had no WR to work with and has about the 7th best offense in the league. Belichick gave him the official title this year after a trial year last year, this isn't his first year. And Belichick is happy with him.

McDaniels will not be the OC for the Patriots when 1) Belichick leaves or 2) McDaniels gets a HC job. There's no reason to believe a change will be made for any other reason.

This is Chad Jackson's make or break game as a WR as well, if he doesn't perform I'm afraid we'll have to just give up on him.

um.....I hope you are joking. The guy is a rookie and has been hurt, give him another year to try and turn it around.

I really need to start using this:

This is a ludicrious post........

Jd has not been under fire by most of the media or fans.IMO,this game Sunday,is very important, but the offense performance of the Patriots will have no effect on Mcdaniels keeping his job.
This is wishful thinking from uninformed fans, who believe all the ills of the football world are solved by constantly replacing the coaching staff.(see Ny Giants,Arizona Cardinals,Miami Dolphins,Raiders,et al).Mcdaniel has done a terrific job, with what he has had to work with.

The thought of BB firing a coach, because we might lose to SD,is ludicrous.Learn some basic football before you recklessly speculate,It does a disservice to all who have followed the Patriots for more than 15 minutes.

Hey, we've still got Vinny.:D

if SD wins and our off doesnt work..why isnt it a credit to SD ? its not like we are playing the lions ...SD is a good team so a bad game agaisnt them doesnt make or break mcdaniels future..
lets not make reasons already for blaming someone for what might happen...if it works ,means we played and executed better ..if it doesnt then give credit to SD..even they have something to play for.

Unfortuneately, with the success that Mangini has had in New York, the chances of losing McDaniels to another team hoping to strike "BB Gold" through a young promising branch, are pretty good.

...and for all of the other contending teams out there, you can consider yourselves on a par with the Pats when teams target your assistants as voraciously as the Pats have been targeted.

Yeah, I think we're a year or so away, though. As young as Mangini was, McDaniels is about 4 years younger still. I'm sure his name has crossed the mind of a few teams - and only one team has filled it's vacancy so far - but this time next year will be more of a concern to me than right now. Of course, I felt the same about Mangini 12 months ago.

Not really,I am awake,I just do not appreciate comments like I only have 15 minutes worth of Patriots knowledge - That pissed me off a bit to say the least-Been a fan for 28 years and agree with my opinions or not I think guys here need to be opinionated for/against-not sarcastic comments which were not acceptible in my book and I spewed my anger-end of story.

Dude, relax or go away. We don't need this crap here. I think you owe someone an apology.

I am relaxed,Got my anger out and its over - I MOVE ON

Well I'm not a moderator but I still think you owe someone an apology. He was right, too, this whole concept is flat out stupid.

Why? Maybe to you, but maybe not to some others.

The man has a right to give his opinion without being attacked.
Well, as I said in my first response, Josh is entrenched. Like it or not. After a trial year he was picked as the OC and we've had a very good offense despite being handcuffed at WR. I guess someone could argue that Cassel should replace Brady too - that person would have a right to give his opinion. Or how about Marquis Hill replacing Seymour. But they'd have as much chance of happening as Josh being replaced not of his own choosing.
