Yep, you're right. I do feel good/ better about the state of the team after listening to that.

Thx for posting.

Brown doing a spot with EEI, towards they ask him about the game, and how the team is feeling. If you want to feel good about the state of the team take a listen.

Troy Brown sits in with Mut and Lou and gives his take on a variety of Super Bowl topics
Troy's great. Just need to take Mut and Lou in much smaller doses. Lou's shtick now is being a contrarian Cub Scout to Eagle Scouts Mazz and Felger (or as Porky Gresh hilariously referred to them today, "Squeaky and the DB").

That is very good to hear. Having Troy Brown say that, plus seeing Belichick smile all week makes me feel the team is prepared and confident about their game plan.

We still have to go out there and get the job done but this is definitely good news.

Great to hear Troy. He makes me feel more confident then I already did. We have a great young core of guys with great attitudes and work ethics to go along with established leaders and experience. We are going to win.

Comforting coming from Troy, especially the 2008-12 contrasting.

Yeah Troy likes how the team is sounding and it sounds like they are having a great 2 weeks of preparation.

I know that they didn't have great practices before that last awful Superbowl but until listening to Troy I had no idea just how bad. He said they were the worst practices he had been a part of on ANY level. That's really bad.

Everything felt off about that Superbowl but things were worse than we could have imagined. I am so happy they seem so comfortable and confident this time around,

I've been thinking about all the reports of bad practices during SB week that year. This is a much different situation... let's just say they have not been lacking motivation this season.

I, for one, was shocked to hear Troy talk about how abysmal the week of practice was leading up to SB42. He said that the team was struggling with basic things that week. I remember hearing how BB had to light up the O-line during that week, and look how that turned out. Troy feels that the team was too tight before that SB.

Troy says the boys are a lot more loose this time around. He says that the guys that he's talked to are excited and not taking any of this for granted. They know they're beatable, but they're still supremely confident.

Well, there's no perfect season to defend this time around.

Ty Law is on the Sports Hub and pretty much said that he loves the Pats game plan. They still have to execute it, but he seems impressed with what they have planned.

Sweet.

Does Ty wanna suit up for us?

I'm surprised Ty has any knowledge of the game plan. He might be local media on a limited scale but he's still media. I wouldn't think Bruschi, Brown, McGinist or Harrision would get a sniff either.

Thanks for the link. It confirms my worst nightmares from four years ago this week (or so) about where that Pats team was, going into SB XLII. I was in a small minority (very small) (make that very, very small) who weren't sanguine about the whole undefeated season thing, mainly because I thought the team was getting wound tighter and tighter every week.

And before you fire up your flame thrower, ask yourself whether you would now trade one loss, even two losses, in December 2007 for the loss in February 2008. I know I would.

I understand your point and I'm not going to throw flames. That said, I'm proud of what that team tried to do; it took a lot of courage. Though I think it's fair to say the strain of that season eventually did take its toll, you just don't know what factors will dominate come big-game time. I think think what the Colts did in '09, intentionally throwing a game to ease that pressure and STILL losing in the Super Bowl, proves that. I'd take what the '07 Pats did over that any time.

I hear him today, Im guessing one of his friends on the team talked to him. I have a much much better feeling about this game this year, in 07 I had a bad feeling the week and days leading up to the super bowl.
