Just wondering if anyone else is feeling better about this game now vs 10 days ago. My initial gut feeling, when I found out We were playing the Giants wasn't good. As twisted as the logic seems, thats what started making me feel better about the game. Everytime I thought we would smoke a team in the playoffs (07 Giants, 10 Jets, and a few weeks ago vs. the Ravens) I was in for a shock.

Call it the disrespect card, or the backs up against the wall. I think the Pats are coming out swinging. I think the X's and O's in this game won't determine the winner, nor will Gronks ankle. I like this teams chemistry, I think the Oline has a HUGE chip on their shoulder as does the Pats 31st ranked defense.

I'm not sure what it is, but I feel something Brewing. I'm not predicting a blowout, but I think it's gonna be one of those games the Pats linemen will dominate on both sides of the ball and the game will be under control though out. The only thing I'm nervous about now is that Fred Smurlas picked the Pats to win 31-21 which was my exact predition in Alamo's Contest. LOL.

Belichick has been in far too good of a mood for the Pats to not be completely prepared.

If you need the media to tell you we're going to win then you have not been paying attention.

And i think the giants are starting to believe the press clippings proclaiming them the winners. They may to some degree believe all they have to do is throw their helmets on the field to win.

I feel better everyday.

- The Giants continue with the trashtalk
- Our guys continue to be relatively quiet
- BB seems VERY confident
- The Gronk has practiced today.

If the Gronk continues to improve tomorrow, the confidence will continue to grow :)

Actually....... I take it as the opposite....... It almost sounds like to me that all this boastful, trash-talk comes from a place of "lacking self-confidence" then over confidence.

I'm feeling infinitely better as time goes on.

Pretty much the same. Boy was I nervous in 07 though. The Giants just kept chirping then too, and it didn't hurt them. This time, they seem like they're forcing it. Not nearly as nervous.

Voted for feeling better.

10 days ago, my gut was telling me the Patriots would win, but then the mediot onslaught commenced.

Luckily, I was able to navigate around that miasma of idiocy, hyperbole, and spurious rhetoric and stick to logic, cold hard facts, and common sense...which has lead me to this conclusion in the here and now:

The way things are unfolding, I am growing more confident by the day that the Patriots can win if they do their job in all three phases. In fact, though it is not anticipated, it would not surprise me if the outcome to this game does not come down to the wire. :)

Pats are quietly going about their business...the pressure is off as all the mediots, or most of them, are picking the Gints....good for them.

Gronk is the BIG story.... and the Pats defense

not Brady...not Ocho...not Hernandez or Wes or Branch..or the Pats OL or running game.

Much better, I love all the pro Giants hype. And the Gronkle talk. He is going to be fine. They were chastizing him for not wearing a compression wrap to media day on NFLN, my take is if he needed one he would be wearing it, since he wasn't he didn't. And if he didn't on Tuesday by Sunday he will be at or near full strength.

Feeling better, feeling more nervous and still thinking the Pats will win. :bricks:

Pretty much every 'expert' has picked the Giant, but Vegas has remained steady.

The National Media is disrespecting the Patriots and forgets what their record is and how they achieved it, im thinking the final score will be similar to most games the patriots have played this year.

The Giants will be focused on stopping the pass, so the patriots will run it, as soon as the giants get stuck in a defense the patriots like, they will lock them in with no-huddle, im confident that if the giants roll out their 'NASCAR' package, the patriots will trample them so i dont see them trying it for very long.

Gronkowski will play just fine, he will be fantastic in the first half and continue to play fine in the second, defying all logical analysis as he has all year, the guy is an unstoppable force.

The Patriots defense has played better in the playoffs and the Patriots D-line should have their way with the Giants, it all comes down to whether they can cover receivers long enough so Eli to get shut down.

I think the Patriots O-line destroys the Giants Defensive line in this game, i dont care how much hype they get, the Patriots have already played the giants once so they have familiarity which is invaluable to the patriots.

I think the Patriots surprisingly win this game 34-20, Brady MVP.

100% better. All this Giants yapping makes me feel great. It kind of reminds me of the Rams and all the confidence they had. I have seen that movie, and know how it ends.

I have been feeling a bit better as the game gets closer, I still think it will be difficult game for the pats though.

I want to see

#1) If Gronk is somewhat OK
#2) If the D and O has come to bring the Pain and be physical.

If I see that, which will be evident in the first five minutes, I'll feel better. If Gronk is not himself and the D/O is getting pushed around...well different story.

Like Gronk, I'm feeling better each day and I'm taking it day-to-day.

Neither. I feel the same exact way I did after the Giants won against the 49ers.

I get the same feeling also, but its more of a feeling before the 2002 AFC Championship game vs the Steelers.

I really sense the Giants are overconfident. Boomer Essiasion interviewed Couglin and said he is really relaxed, and extremely confident. While that may sound encouraging to Giants fans, I see it as a negative. I don't sense any concern from the Giants side which to me was erriely similar to what Coach Cowher was projecting vs the Pats in 2002.
