Anticipated, but great news nonetheless.

His injury in and of itself is being blown way out of proportion. But that's just my opinion.

I'm surprized that the Pats haven't put a contract out on Bernard Pollard for next season.

Brady

Welker

Gronk

Or may be we should sign this guy and break his leg and put him on IR

I think that if you put Bernard Pollard on the cover of Madden it would rip a hole in the fabric of reality.

Sorry guys...

I've been away from the forum for a minute...

When did Gronk get hurt? I haven't heard anything in the news about it?

Speaking of that hit: Does anyone think it was dirty?

Maybe I'm just predisposed to thinking an injury from a Pollard hit cannot be a coincidence, but damn if it didn't look like a purposively twisted the Gronk's leg underneath him as he brought him down.

If someone else has leveled this accusation, I missed it and apologize.

I think he was valedictorian at the Roy Williams school of tackling.

Totally agree that the guy overdid it on the twist at the end....he's a scumbag of the highest order.....bad things happening when he is involved isn't a coincidence. :rocker:

One thing BB said was that they worked him to see how he'd feel tomorrow, or something along those lines. That just strikes me as weird, why would you want to test him, with the chance that he WON'T be better tomorrow, when he finally gets to the point he CAN practice?

I'd rather have him not practice, just take in all the mental reps, stay in shape, and give everything on the last game of the season, when he doesn't have to be ready for another game until August.

That said, we don't really know what his practice consisted of. It was just how BB said they wanted to see how he'd respond to it later that puzzled me.

Maybe getting a line on if he'd "freeze up" during halftime?

He played Thursday, more than 72 hours before kickoff.

I had thought about that, but unless he's 100% on Sunday, he's gonna be in bad shape for quite some time afterwards. He's risking a bit by playing without being fully healed. I'm obviously not a doctor, but given his style of play, I don't see any scenario where he won't worsen his injury by playing, whether he's fine through the game or not, I think he'll be leaving the stadium in a boot again.

I hope him even being 'limited' in practice is even better news than we are thinking, but I'd just personally rather him simply take mental reps and not do anything that can possibly make it worse. It will take a bit of exerting in order to get it to a point that he'd have trouble with it at halftime, I just don't see the point in TRYING to get it where he'd be at halftime on gameday.

I've run my AFPT (army's PT test) on a high ankle sprain and couldn't walk for a few days afterward. I'm just being worrisome is all.
