I hate to see this happen to any yeam and city.Given that this area is losing people and not a booming town could they pack it up in a few year and move?
We all know the NFL would like a team in L.A.

Are we really asking the NFL to limit late season games in Buffalo?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Schumer said he also received an assurance from Goodell that the NFL would make an effort to avoid scheduling too many late-season games in Buffalo. This became an issue when the Bills were unable to sell out their final four home games, all scheduled after Thanksgiving, when weather is generally harsher.
The non-sellouts raised complaints of the NFL's TV blackout policy, which prevents games from being televised in a team's home market if their facility is not sold out at least two days prior to the game. Out of 256 NFL games, there were only seven local blackouts this season, but four involved Bills home games. "They said they would try to change that for the next year, so that should help," Schumer said."

ARE YOU KIDDING ME????????

So now its the weather that kept the fans away late in the season? I think there just might be some factors involved in the non-sellouts other than the weather. Like maybe the fact that we havent been to the playoffs since the Clinton administration. Late season cold weather has always been one of this team's defining characteristics! one of the best things about being a Bills fan is being tougher than the elements, and watching warm weather teams struggle when they get here in December. This request makes us look like a bunch of warm weather pansy-asses!

Plus, what a F-ing brilliant idea, ask the league to put us on the road for as many of the critical post-Thanksgiving games as possible. THAT should help us get into the playoffs. And likewise tell any potential successors that not only does the economy suck in Buffalo, but you can't sell out the stadium because the local fans don't like to get cold during late season games. Why give them ANOTHER excuse to move the team?

Interesting. And the irony is that Buffalo's worst snow storm happened in mid-October this year.

I would hate to see that City lose their team. Loyal fans all these years.

You might want to clarify this post

"The Bill" is Bill Belichick. And no I don't think he would move. Most certainly not to an LA expansion team.

"The Bills" are the Buffalo Bills - and there was quite a bit of talk about this in the offseason, focusing on them as one of the most likely teams to move.

That's a conversation that I'm sure will be had in the offseason again.

Thank God its not the offseason yet!

As they said on WEEI:

There's 8 hours of football tomorrow
8 hours of football on Sunday
Followed by the 2 hour premier of "24"
Follwed by another 2 hours of "24" after I get home from work on Monday.
I've told my wife to say "hi" to the kids for me and I'll see them sometime on Tuesday.

The Bills problem isn't the weather. It's that the Sabres are finally doing well this year.

Sorry........I meant the Bills

I work with 4 people from that area that are all Bills fans and they tell me the city is drying up.

They're alarmists. The city dried up in 1970. Ever since then, it's made a slow but steady rebound. In other words, things aren't getting worse. They're getting better.

The main problem with all the talk of Buffalo moving is that as the salary cap increases, Buffalo won't be able to spend to the cap, and they'll be left at a competitive disadvantage. The league will become like baseball with small market teams and large market teams.

The problem with the blackouts is that Ralph Wilson Stadium holds 80,000 seats. A few years ago they covered/remodeled a few areas, and now they have 76,000 seats. The Bills still sell out at least 12 games, and then bring 70,000 to the stadium for the rest. In other words, they are in the upper echelon for attendance.
