Was listening to Fox Sports radio on my way to pick up my daughter from school. It was the local afternoon guys here in AZ. They had the founder and creator of predictionmachine.com as a guest. He created the program that somehow takes all the players, stats, records, DNA, blood type and what they had for dinner ever other Thursday and plugs it into his computer. The program Then is able to play 50,000 game simulations of the two teams and predicts the winner. Well...guess what his flux capacitor spit out as the winner.....hold your hats...the giants. :deadhorse:

Oh well...it's Wednesday and a slow news night I guess. Here in AZ it's either Peyton watch (rumors are if the Colts release him he might come to the Cards) or how the pats can't win and how the Giants can't lose! To me its starting to feel a little like 2001...SB36 anyone?;)

Must be better than Vegas' computers.

By the way, Vegas knew the bettors would heavily favor the Giants. I suspect Vegas is very confident in the Pats.

Let's hope he got his PhD with the clowns issuing climate predictions and we'll be good to go

I are a computer engineer

Well, I imagine if you program the 31st ranked D into any model the team would crap out every time.

I read somewhere that the most money Vegas lost on one game was Superbowl 42. I think everyone took the Giants vs the 49ers last weekend too. I don't get it.

Apparently people tend to bet heavily on the Patriots, histroically, which is the reason they are favored...or so I heard,

I am fairly sure every computer in America was picking the Patriots in 42...

computers don't play the game.

players do.

Relax everyone, the games in the bag, Shank Shaunessy picked the Giants :D

Not sure how they have a Giants team that allowed more points than they scored beating the Patriots

I saw a ticker on tv saying a different computer had NE winning. Guess we should get the guys from The Deadliest Warrior to decide.

I don't know about historically but according to the Chicago Tribune, Super Bowl XLVI is attracting more bets on the Giants than on the Pats.

"MGM Resorts International ... said about 65 per cent of the money bet so far in its casinos was for the Giants." Vegas bookmakers' cheering Patriots in Super Bowl - chicagotribune.com

If the Pats don't win, Vegas is gonna take a bath.

I punched all the relevant data from both teams into MY computer and ran the Joe Kerr Unpredictable program...after 150,000 simulations here--------------> are the results....

THE JETS SUCK

I think I may have picked up a green virus.....

Interestingly, I read that when the Giants fell to 6-6 the odds agains them winning the SB shot way up (50 to 1 I think) and a lot of longshot money was bet on them. The article (written before the CCGs) said Vegas stood to lose a lot of money if the Giants won the SB.
With that in mind, you would think they would be trying to drive betting on the Pats to hedge that potential loss.
