"Yeah, I did. No loyalty," Ellis said at media day. "They preached that the whole time -- loyalty, loyalty, blah, blah, blah."

Not only was he upset with their offer, but Ellis said "it was how they made it" that really peeved him. He suggested general manager Mike Tannenbaum and coach Rex Ryan weren't upfront with him.

"They called and said, 'We're going to let Rex speak with you,' " Ellis said. "He said, 'We want you to come back, but we're not going to start you.' I'm like, OK. Tannenbaum said, 'We've got other guys in front of you, we're offering you the minimum. We'll get back to you.'

I don't care about his sour grapes toward his former employer. I just want him to produce on the field this Sunday. Ward and Jacobs aren't going to tackle themselves.

I totally agree. I hope he brings his attitude to the field on Sunday.

You betcha! I know he'd love to wave a ring under the noses of some of those Jets f/o folks. I hope he gets it this Sunday. :rocker:

Yup. Would be nice if he replicated his 3 sack performance vs us last year for his final game.

After years of trying to beat them in the AFC East, Ellis said he now realizes why the Patriots have been so successful.

"They just outwork everybody," he said.

Nice.

OT:Santino Holmes is a great captain for the Jets... :D

Ellis could show his loyalty to the Patriots by playing against the Giants the way he played against us in the 2010 divisional game.

Translation:

"Jets suck"

I wonder if Ellis shared his thoughts about the great Patriot loyalty to players like Richard Seymour, Law, Milloy, amongst many others...

The Jets gave him 10+ years, he wasn't nearly worth the price the Pats paid him, he's been a mediocre player at best, and far overpaid as Pat.

The patriots gave them superbowl rings as parting gifts.

Take that back, you sexist pig. It's not true. They cry like the little babies they are, irregardless of gender.

That should read "regardless of gender".

:D

But yeah..... word.

Maybe.. But no matter what, the Jets could never give Shaun Ellis this....

But I am sure BB will re-evaluate his off season acquisitions, after the SB. SB is for Super Bowl. Not sure if Jets fans know what that is...

Man sure looks happy, doesn't he? :D

If you consult with Dictionary and Thesaurus - Merriam-Webster Online, their consensus is that "irregardless" is listed as a word in most dictionaries and is generally considered a synonym for "regardless", although it is considered less proper than "regardless." At any rate, thanks for the correction and I should have known better. Regardless, I stand by my claim that Jet fans cry like little babies, irregardless of their gender.

My English teachers would've whacked my hands with a yardstick for saying "irregardless". :rocker:

But I'm just ribbing on you, bro. Good thought, yours!

Sure does Gwedd. It is like Shaun realized losing the AFC championship game, is not reaching the pinnacle of the NFL.

There is this thing called the Super Bowl..

...But don't tell Jet fans..
