ESPN NY: Brady Overrated

just pissing in the bears face:D

Didn't Brady have a sprain he was dealing with one year and a sports hernia the other year? Other than his non-throwing shoulder he seems fairly healthy this this post season.

So Brady has no chance against their front 4 and our secondary has no chance against their receivers and future first ballot hall of famer Eli Manning? I love confidence, but it should be caustioned with reason.

Then again it's NY.

Brady sucks, WRs suck, OL suck, RBs suck, Defense sucks, The DBs more than SUCK!! How the hell did this team make the playoffs much less the Super Bowl, and which moron decided that they should be favored? From what I've heard so far, no one agrees with them. :p

EDIT: LEFT OUT THE TIGHTENDS. They seem to be the only players on this team, that are respected.

We have officially reached ludicrous speed!

One of the greatest myths in sports debunked: that the NY media are hard on their teams; nonsense, they ball-wash them as if they're related to them.

Tony Mazz, is that you?

Nice, I'm loving the doubt filled, down played media this SB. What a contrast to the 07 even to last year.

My father was telling me we seem like the underdogs with 3.5 favorites in Vegas. Since he's sports radio, TV etc. 24-7 I'll take his word for it.

I didn't even need to open the link and I guessed it was a Rich Cimini article. Cimini is the Ron Borges of NY. Jets fans hate him because he always says over the top things about the Jets to spark controversy and clicks.

This is just ******ed. Seriously, it is.

The great Joe Montana once had a stretch of three playoff losses, between 85 and 87, in which the 49ers got destroyed by a combined score of 102-30. In that stretch, Joe threw for 0 TDs, 4 INTs, 503 yards and a combined 50.3 passer rating. I'm sure there were articles saying he was overrated then too.

Stop the madness.

Tom Brady is not Joe Montana. Joe Montana is not Tom Brady.

If Tom Brady wins this game he will be the most accomplished quarterback of all-time. I don't think that's up for debate. You can argue on who is most clutch of who was most money with the game on the line, etc, but Brady will own or be tied for almost every record in the book.

I don't know how that's relevant to the point I made. Joe Montana is widely considered the best playoff quarterback of all time, I was merely pointing out that even he had his stinkers. When you play in over 20 postseason games, you are bound to play poorly on some occasions.

Yeah, but TFB did it in the Salary Cap era, which is an exponentially tougher than the era in which Montana played. Not taking anything away from Montana, but when Brady did it, teams are much more evenly matched due to the nature of the NFL. Montana had monster teams in the 80's, teams which are impossible to assemble today.

But you could also argue that the 49ers had to go up against monster teams in the playoffs, since the league was allegedly less balanced.

2010 - manning throws 25 picks and the giants don't make the playoffs
2009 - giants don't make the playoffs
2008 - giants go 12-4 and manning coughs up a hairball against the eagles at home in the divisional
2007 - giants win the SB, but manning had no memorable games other than being saved by samuel and tyree
2006 - manning sucked in one playoff loss
2005 - manning sucked in one playoff loss

going into this year, the only time he's looked anything but stupid in the playoffs was 2007

sorry boys........I ain't seeing it

giants go down big
