I think we get trounced. Not really happy about it, but i just dont think we win this one. I hope i am wrong

LOL, are you serious, if anyones gets trounced its them. Pats win this one going away, wake up and smell the coffee.

My gut feeling is i'm going to need Valium

Gut feeling still isn't good...ugh

At this time, Six days from now the game will be kicking off...cannot wait. My gut feeling is one of nerves and agita. I have my group of friends coming over my house to watch the game this time. We watched at my house in 01, 03, and 04....but at someone else's house in 07. We also watched the NO v IND SB at my house. IN every case we've watched at my house the team we were all rooting for won the game. Here's to hoping the good karma is restored.
THe run up to the game is asinine....GO PATS

Had a dream we lost this weekend, had the same dream week before the Jets game last year.

Last year you dreamed we lost this game to the giants?

Having something happen one tiem doesn't make a habit or a pattern (mostly because I refuse to believe it though). And if you thought this to be true, you should have stayed awake until the SB. I know the Army has some good stuff for that or they have medicine that can give you dreamless sleep.

Geez man! Get your team spirit going :)

Feeling really Good right now. Giants are all over the media Pats are lying low.

BB in great mood kidding with press after team has installed the game plan and had a practice in pads, that speaks volumes about the teams prep thus far.

I picked against the Patriots once in the regular season and that was the Jets rematch. With Tom Brady under center and Bill Belichick coaching, you should have faith every time they grace the field.

I won't pick against these two again.

From a Giants fan, I'm calling the final score right now.

Giants or Pats: 30
Giants or Pats: 27

I'm expecting something similar.

Wasn't Haynesworth being pushed out, turned around or driven into the ground during this game (by a single man).

I thought he was released after this game as well.

Yeah. On that Brandon Jacobs TD run, he got pushed off his spot and got pancaked and Jacobs ran untouched for a td.

Doesn't help that he later got into a verbal fight with Pepper and was benched after that.

My emotions bouncing all over the place. Depending on which team I envision as the unstoppable jaugernaut.

Funny Farm- coming to take me away - YouTube

I'm shocked at the small handful of current players in the game 4 years ago, and yet the teams are still similar.

I've been saying for a while the game will be won at the Pats O-line vs Giants pass rush. Earlier this year and 4 years ago the Giants were able to put tremendous pressure on Brady with only four rushers. I'll never forget him looking like a rag doll in that game.
Belicheck has done a good job building a great line. Waters, Volmer, Gronk & Solders all excellent additions. Scar is the unsung hero of the Pats.

Too bad Ridley "dropped out of the running". Would have been a good compliment to Law firm helping to keep Pierre-Paul & Tuck at bay.

PREDICTION:
Light & Co have a great game, Brady gets the time & has a great game also.
I believe in this Defense.
Wilfork won't eat for three days prior to game time & will feast on Bass sushi.
The D-back will take some hard hits but they've got never -quit guts & I feel Bellicheck is going to scheme his ass off. Not great but good enough.

PATS 32 - GIANTS 24

BELIEVE!!

I am confident, just a coincidence I had a very similar dream of NE losing to NYJ a week before playing and losing to them.

Gee thanks, why don't you just give me a paper cut and pour lemon juice on it.

it's the superbowl -- it's supposed to be competitive.
if you can't have faith in the pats after all these years, I don't know what there is to have faith in.

bring it.

I feel pretty good, we've gone back to the 34 since this game and our D has steadily improved since then against both the pass and run. We also won't have Haynesworth getting pushed around and run over.

I think our offense will be better prepared, remember the Giants basically copied the Steelers and played a ton of man coverage and beat us up at the line. I think we'll have better answers for it knowing its coming and use more shifts, bunch formations, and line up guys like Hernandez in the backfield in order to get a free release.

As for our defense, I think if we stay healthy we'll be set. Things went downhill for us once Spikes got hurt on (I believe) the 1st drive of the 3rd quarter, followed by Chung going down later.

On the Giants final 2 scoring drives they were also helped by a very long Arrington PI call and a Sergio Brown PI call on the goal line, giving them first and goal. Also as a trickle down effect, with Spikes and Guyton injured during the game, we had Tracy White covering Jake Ballard for what turned into the game winning touchdown.

Next, we won't make the same mistakes twice. Brady forced a ball to Gronkowski with Welker open underneath and some room to run, the ball was picked off. Brady was also strip sacked, honestly, Tom is one of the better QB's at protecting the ball while getting hit, he only ever loses the ball when someone swipes at it from behind. The other turnover, which really killed us more than anything, was the Edelman fumble on our own 10 yard line.

If Tom takes what is in front of him and we mix in a good amount of running, we should walk away as Champions. No more forcing the ball to Gronk because he's a playmaker, if he isn't open, he isn't open. That interception to Gronk is the one that bothered me the most, it reminded me of the first Jets game of 2010 with Moss.

Since 2001, New England is 11-2 after losing to a team earlier in a season and facing them again later:

10-3 L New York 9/23/01
17-16 W New York 12/2/01

30-10 L Miami 10/7/01
20-13 W Miami 12/22/01

24-17 L STL 11/18/01
20-17 W STL 2/3/02

26-13 L Miami 10/6/02
27-24 W Miami 12/29/02

31-0 L Buffalo 9/7/03
31-0 W Buffalo 12/27/03

34-20 L Pitt 10/31/04
41-27 W Pitt 1/23/05

28-20 L Denver 10/16/05
27-13 L Denver 1/14/06

27-20 L Indianapolis 11/5/06
38-34 L Indianapolis 1/21/07

17-14 L New York Jets 11/12/06
37-16 W New York Jets 1/7/07 We defeated New York 24-17 on 9/17 as well, but this loss was before another game

38-13 L Miami 9/21/08
48-28 W Miami 11/23/08

16-9 L New York Jets 9/20/09
31-14 W New York Jets 11/22/09

28-14 L New York Jets 9/19/10
45-3 W New York Jets 12/6/10

34-31 L Buffalo 9/25/11
49-21 W Buffalo 1/1/12

24-20 L New York Giants 11/6/11
??-?? ? New York Giants 2/5/12

We've simply been very good about not letting a team beat us twice in a season, we adjust well.

For me, it boils down to two matchups:

The New England Patriots offensive line vs the New York Giants defensive line.

The New York Giants wide receivers vs the New England Patriots defensive secondary.

It's funny, last week I was so and so. As they game draws closer I'm feeling better about the team every day. The Patriots have a real chance to establish some history.

It will be interesting come Sunday (well Monday morning for me) to see how this all plays out.

What I am, is beginning to become excited about the Superbowl. A week without football is a week too many.

It still feels somewhat bleak.

This bad defense will be tested and have to play the game of their lives in order to win. The offense without a healthy gronk, may have to rely on chad johnson and slater more than normal, not mention the o-line needs to play the best they've ever played.

Too many ifs for me.

I still hope they somehow win.
