An Indy resident tells me that volunteers made scarves for all the visiting players and coaches, gave them to people as they arrived, and that apparently Bill Belichick refused his gifted scarf!

Oh the humanity!

They are saying it shows his arrogance, turning up his nose at the hard work of some poor Hoosier grandma!

I suggested to my Indiana friend that perhaps he already has a snazzy scarf like this one:

I'm betting that BB politely declines ALL gifts. Talk about making something out of nothing.

GAWD...is it Sunday yet?

A full investigation is coming.

Here's the scoop on the scarves...they asked people to make them and they have been for the past year and a half or so. All 8000 volunteers each received one (me being one of them) and they've been handing them out to special guests, etc. I had no idea until I saw it yesterday on the news that they were giving them to the teams too. They had to be made with a certain color blue (Colts blue I guess) and white. Then a Super Bowl patch was sewn on each one. I did notice BB not carrying one and wondered if he refused it. LOL Who cares!

Someone made one with the national anthem written on it and they are giving it to Kelly Clarkson. I am sure Madonna will get one too.

What I didn't realize was that they had some of the volunteers actually meet the plane yesterday and hand them out! WHY couldn't I have gotten that job! I would have died! The ones handing them out were probably Colts fans anyway who could care less...

Well he was at the airport, maybe he thought they were Jehovah Witnesses.

Hey, that scarf may have had a hidden mic in it. BB was probably just being safe.

Yup. The commish is going to try to take both first round picks this time. The Patriot hate, even from the very top of the NFL, is mind boggling.

Belichick is a student of history. He very well knows what can happen if you arrive in the midwest and accept a scarf or a blanket. Some diseases, long thought eradicated, are making a comeback.

Damn. I thought he was holding out for a cravat!

As long as he has his grey hoodie w/ the cut-off sleeves, he don't need no stinkin' scarf.

I read this as "Scarface 2012 has arrived!". Needless to say my happiness dipped a bit after clicking.

I love bill as much as the next guy... but why NOT take one? Seems liek these people put a lot of work into them.

It's a tarp!
