According to Stephen A Smith on between the lines. Im loving all the anti Pats talk from the media.

LOL....put vollmer in at RT and use solder as a TE.......and then run the ball 75 times and grind the giants down to a nub

He's now a football "expert"? Smith should stick to basketball. The only thing he knows is how to talk in an intimidating manner by loudly placing a heavy emphasis on every other syllable.

Who cares? He is a NY radio host (along with his ESPN gig) and a basketball guy. He also loves to be the guy who makes grandeios statements. Nothing really to see here.

On NFL network yesterday, Brian Billick (I think it was him) said the Patriots offense wouldn't be able to keep up with the Giants offense. He said this with a straight face, and there wasn't any Gronkowski disclaimer that this was only true if he didn't play.

Good thing Gronk will be playing.

I don't see how this isn't true.

Gronk is our best player outside of Brady.

See 2009 Pats vs Ravens to see what happened the last time we were without our #2 player.

The Pats don't have a chance without Dan Koppen

The Pats don't have a chance without Ras-I Dowling

The Pats don't have a chance without Myron Pryor

The Pats don't have a chance without Andre Carter

...there is always a chance with BB at the helm.

And if Nicks is not near 100%,I don't like the Giants chances either :snob:

Gronks just a little more important than all of those guys combined.

He makes a point it would make it very very difficult to beat the Giants without Gronk. He just shattered basically every Tight End record...

Now we have reason # 876 why Brian Billick is an analyst on NFLN.

I don't mean to imply that our chances wouldn't be diminished, however I'd never count BB out of the game. Saying there is no chance implies we shouldn't even play the game because it is a foregone conclusion. I couldn't disagree more. Each team will have their own hurdles to overcome. This team deals with adversity very well.

I would suggest that regardless of Gronk's status on Sunday, we still play the game, just in case. ;)

Yeah, except in that game, our new #2 option was Julian Edelman.

We still have Wes Welker, Aaron Hernadez, Deion Branch, and solid receivers out of the backfield. Give me a break. We had our best drive against the Ravens withou Gronk in the game.

Is it me or is Screamin A Smith an expert on every sport on the planet?

"we really ballin, you just talkin bout it, steven A"
-some rap song i heard recently lol!!

This is depressing to hear, since Stephen A. Smith is such a knowledgeable and well-reasoned authority on all things football.

Wait a second now don't forget about kid n play and Ocho!!....or maybe an extra helping of Matt Slater! Whooooo!

The Pats have 5 current Pro Bowlers on offense.

I think they still have a chance if injury cuts that number to a mere 4.

Hard-hitting analysis by Shout Alot Smith there. Next thing he'll say is the Giants don't stand a chance without Eli Manning.

Kind of reminds me of "The Pats don't have a chance wthout Drew Bledsoe"

If Gronkowski doesn't play a snap in the superbowl, this game is STILL going to be decided by who recovers the fumbles and who doesn't drop the picks. Its going to be as simple as that.
