If you could change something about the Super Bowl what would it be?

I would get rid of the half time show. Most of the performances are lame and take up too much time.

move it to saturday and shorten the halftime show.

I would make it illegal to sell the tickets for more than face value and I would mandate that they distribute the majority of them to the teams that are in the game, and in turn, mandate that the teams give more of their fans the right to purchase them. It is kind of crazy that a team's fans support them all year long to get them to the big game, and then all but 1% are shut out of said big game. I know it'll never happen. Too much $$ at stake.

I agree with all the halftime stuff...too long and always dull. The only ones I can remember enjoying are the U2 one and the Tom Petty one.

Make the game a best of 3 series. Home team gets the first week in their stadium, away team gets week 2, always have a neutral site ready in case of a third game. I don't know, I think it would be cool to see how teams game planned for the exact same team one week later. If they were holding back, if they could make adjustments...just think it would be interesting.
Springsteen and McCartney were pretty damn good

I won't be watching the half time show this year. Madonna...UGH!!

Madonna must have been Goodell's idea....only few want to see that old rag out there...the 80s are over.

Saturday, better halftime shows -- they seem to cater to the 40-60 crowd instead of the 15 - 35

I don't mind the half-time show; I kind of look forward to it. The only one IMO that has been truly bad was the Janet Jackson/Kid Rock debacle in 2003. Tom Petty I can't listen to anymore, but that is more because of the outcome of the game than the performance. U2 was great, as was McCartney. I even liked The Who and Prince of late. The Black Eyed Peas weren't that great, but I don't really like their music, except "I've Gotta Feeling."

They should have quit the halftime show after U2's performance. Nothing could ever top it. I haven't watched one since then.

Since everyone seems to agree on changing that, I'll put my hat in the earlier kickoff/Saturday night ring. If the Pats win, I'm going to be up a long time Sunday night, and Monday at work will be a bit draggin ass.

Make it illegal to scalp the tickets.
Start the game earlier in the day -- 4 p.m. is a perfect time.
Rotate the game between New Orleans, Houston, Tampa, Dallas and Miami (and southern California once they get a stadium built there).

ho...wait up there...you think 40-60 year olds want to even be made aware of this witch faced fraud?...only lovers of irony would enjoy Mad Donna singing "Like A Virgin"...

Oh wait... VIRGIN????? See, I thought she was saying "STURGEON" because of that smell and everything.....

I guess that goes to show what I know about Babs. Sigh.

I remember there was a proposal kin the late 90's to have a 3 city rotation and call it a day, I think it was Miami, NO, and San Diego. Every other warm weather team threw a fit and it was shelved.

I live in Tampa and would love to experience a Super Bowl week...I went to Bourbon Street the night before 31 and it was pretty awesome to be in such a football/party environment.

Freaking Madonna...don't get me wrong she has some catchy songs but why the hell would I want to see her in the middle of a football game? Honestly, who decides these things?

The game conditions in Miami were what real football is all about....sloppy conditions and lots of mud.....sad thing was it was the game that Peyton and the Colts got the glory.

I love to see those kind of Super Bowls....less glitz and lots of slop.

I'd make it more about the game and less about the yuppie pukes who are watching football for the first time in a year. It should be a celebration of the sport, not a pop culture event interspersed with a football game. But let's face it, you get more talk about the commercials and the halftime show/anthem than you do about the game on Monday morning.

My family out in Oregon gloat about the fact that the game starts at 3:30 their time. It was foreign to their daughter who, came to live with my wife and I, when the game ended at nearly 10 pm. she was used to going to super bowl after parties...I guess you can do that when the game ends at 7. Must be nice.

I love the idea of a cold weather super bowl but I understand why it will likely be null and void after the NYC game.

The other thing I'd change is the Patriots would win every year.

I'd play the game on Saturday instead of Sunday so it could really be a party instead of thinking about how you're going to have to get up the next day for work

Ah yes

I remember my days of not being the boss and not scheduling myself whenever I wanted

I shall spend Monday, February 6th doing one of two sets of things

1. Recovering from the day before, and drowning my sorrows with more alcohol

2. Recovering from the day before, and celebrating like no one has ever celebrated before

Missed that one--too bitter to watch that game.

If they're going to make it such a big deal, why don't they just quit f***king around and stick AC/DC in there for a 30 minute set? Probably because it would upstage the game.

I think it has already been said....but I'll add my thoughts

1. get rid of the 2 week layover between the AFC/NFC championship games and Super Bowl game. With the exception of the bye week, every team player is programmed to play games once a week.

2. Get rid of the ridiculously long and boring 1/2 time shows. If you want to have a concert, have it either before or after the game.

3. Start the game by 2:00 PM Eastern at the latest. These 7:00 PM starts are brutal. If the game is played on the West Coast (i.e. Rose Bowl), then start it at 1:00 PM (4PM eastern)
