No surprise.

Edelman is an aggressive tackler, a decent blitz option, and physical at the line off the release but he isn't covering any decent NCAA wide receivers past five yards.

Hopefully he can use it for motivation, but I think the coaching staff is asking a lot for Edelman to anything but sit in a zone and tackle the guy in front of him.

Is Nate Jones that bad?

Whilst I understand exactly where he;s coming from, he hasn;t exactly been the worst nickel corner in the league......

Worryingly though, he got picked on a little by Boldin in that final drive, despite having a relatively good game before that.

However, Anquin Boldin is a damn sight better than Mario Manningham...and about 30 lbs heavier. Edelman was bound to be troubled by Boldin... Manningham won't be as hard.

Id rather the Giants are doing the talking and boasting before the game, the Pats players can just soak it up and let it all out on game day.

I don't know about that, I don't think Manningham would have any trouble with double moves on Edelman. Boldin plays straight up and relies on size, Manningham relies on stems, nods, and subtlety...Routes are what he does best.

I'm not a huge fan of Edelman. He's a decent 3rd or 4th intermediate slot receiver and a better than average punt returner. I'm sure he works hard and understands the system, I just don't think he expands the offense or helps the defense.

He doesn't...but I don't think, watching over his performances, he's really hurt the defense either.

He hasn't effed up...and that's all you can ask. Boldin is much more of a mismatch than Manningham.

Only issue I have with Edelman is when he started to struggle against him on Sunday, he tried to cheat it by opening up early and such things...that made things worse for him.

Edelman did a good job on Anquan Boldin a all pro WR, Manningham is not in he's class
