Edit: looking for more info, if anyone has any plz share...they said it will be to "just clean it up"
Rapsheet tweeted that out.. im unfollowing him because he is getting annoying.. he wrote that is the "expectation" .. what the hell does that mean?
They will tape it up and put a brace on it and shoot him with painkillers and that anti-inflammatory that has been in the news lately...and his play will not be noticeably affected. Because it is the last game of the season. Then they'll go in and fix anything that needs to be fixed and he will have the whole offseason to recover.
BTW if you look up high ankle sprains on wikipedia it says the recovery time can be as little as 2-3 days. The fact that Gronk came back into the same game and played most of the rest of the day would seem to indicate that this was a mild injury as far as high ankle sprains go. I think we dodged an artillery shell.
Not all "high ankle sprains" are created equal, nor are the injuries in any other specific category.Big Ben had a high ankle sprain and it lasted the rest of his season. Gronk doesn't have to plant and throw, but must plant and spin.
I know its a different position and different injury but Mayo was back in a few weeks after a MCL Sprain
Oh, what surgery? that's right these same media were reporting for 3 months now that all Ben needed was to rest it.
