I think Ocho is wearing a hoodie on game day.

Brady jokes that Edelman couldn't hit the side of a barn all the time.

Gronk is bigger than many barns!! LOL

Ocho can get open when he's on the filed. But I doubt Brady will gain his trust enough in a week and a half to get him to throw him the ball. Maybe next year.

With Welker and Hernandez getting double coverage on every third down and Gronkowski being limited, there is an excellent opportunity for Branch and Ocho Sucko to get some balls thrown there way, especailly if we can isolate one of them on a LBer.

I agree i wat to see I'm make some plays on Sunday and I would rather have him out there than Edelman.

If he takes his spot as a WR, Edelman will only see the field as a RB/DB/PR/ST. They probably don't even save Edelman a spot on the bench since the dude is on the field for the whole game.

Too true. I do love Edelman, he's a hard worker, I just don't like seeing him as a receiver.

Ocho 3/47 1 TD.

Best game of the season comes in the biggest.

One clutch catch to move the chains and keep the clock running when the Pats have a lead is all I ask. He's done it a couple times this season, no reason why he can't do it Superbowl Sunday.

Ocho is humbled.....lesson learned.....and Ocho will be on the receiving end of a TB pass in the SB.
Ocho will finally learn a key lesson in life...less IS more.....and Ocho will be a ring bearing NE Patriot for life and we'll all be glad to have him in the family.
I want Ocho to do something special in the SB. He has been a good soldier throughout his stay here in NE and he's been a really good player in the NFL for years.

I agree. He is much more a deep threat than Edelman even if only to stretch the field. I hope he gets a big play next week, you can tell he's working really hard and his heart is in it.

I though I would never see this. I thought he was going to go down the same path as T.O. but I guess after seeing what happened to T.O. he humbled himself before it was too late. Good for him.

Goes to show you some of the fault behind these players and teams lies in the coaching and organization mentality. They allow players to destroy themselves, sell tickets off of their image or drama and then boot them out. Ocho should be grateful.

I'd love nothing more than for this guy to catch a TD pass in the Super Bowl. I haven't got on his back for the reasons he's pretty much stated. I would have hoped given what we've paid him he'd be a viable #2 option AT LEAST....but it hasn't worked out this year and that's just the way it goes sometimes.

By all accounts, he hasn't hurt the team and has been a model player in practice (which is something I guess). I would like to see him back in camp next year with a full off season with the Pats staff under his belt and see if we can squeeze one last good year out of him.

Really hope we get a ring for him.

will they activate him? Is it the same number of players activated as a usual game? Not sure they would if they don't have confidence in him running the right routes.

I think him being inactive had a lot to do with missing a practice and the death of his father.

I think with Gronk's injury we won;'t ;leave anything to chance. He'll need to be active.

Ocho still has the opportunity to make his first season with the Patriots an overwhelming success.

Agreed. A player may be an overpaid bust for 18 straight games.....but if he delivers a crucial performance that is key in securing the BIG game, I suspect the overpaid storyline will be dismissed (at least until FA begins).

I was never a fan of Ocho because he blatantly put himself over the team, his own glory over the victory, and was a celebration of idiocy. However, overpaid or not, he has shown a lot by following the Patriot way while his own glorification completely evaporated. In this regard it would be satisfying to see Ocho have a severe breakout game. Obviously it would be a great thing for the Patriots....but also because it proves even the biggest knuckleheads can earn redemption.

is this known as the JD Drew effect? ;)

It will be shocking to me if Ocho is not active. His production may have been miniscule this year but he has been a well established threat much of his career. In the right situations, Ocho running deeper patterns should clear a CB and S out of the play. When a guy who catches only 16 passes in a full season can guarantee WW or Gronk or AH will be single covered, it's a benefit.

It brings me back to the Ravens game and why the Ravens would have 3 guys on Slater......and why TB would not use that to hit WW, Gronk or AH.

Apparently Ochocinco bough 70 Beat by Dre headphones for his team mates for their flight to Indy....

Without doing the maths, I know how much a set over here cost and that's not far short of $300...so, off the top of my head you're looking at what...around $20k???

85 will take no more coverage running a route than Tiquan Underwood. Do you have any idea how defenses cover pass plays?

Thats because there was only one player covering Slater, and 2 others trailed the play from their coverage after the ball was in the air.

I'm just glad that Ocho hasn't been a distraction at all this season. I could only imagine the headaches TO would cause. It would be great to see Ocho get a TD in the Super Bowl (especially with his pops passing away) but I'm not holding my breath.
