I am a bit exhausted of seeing these gut wrenching, heart clenching, ready to throw up, 3 hours of up and down mood swings during the Super Bowls of the Patriots the past 11 years.

All 4 games in the Belichick Brady era have been decided by exactly 3 points which is amazingly near impossible to occur again...I think.

My heart can't take another Bill....this time blow them out by the start of the
4th quarter so my blood pressure can resume back to normal levels.

Does this look like another 3 point game to you?

It's the playoffs. You face tough teams in the playoffs. Expecting easy wins isn't realistic and the playoffs wouldn't be anywhere near as fun to watch if there were a ton of easy matchups and blowouts.

I remember when Super Bowl blowouts were the norm and a close game was rare.

These games are fun and exciting but the Patriots ones are tough to deal with....unless they win which makes it all the much better of course. :)

It depends on how the teams execute. If both teams execute well, no, I say Pats will win by 7. If Giants execute bad, you'll see the Pats doing to them what they did to GB.

I don't expect the Patriots to ever execute as poorly as GB did. No way in hell. GB was clearly shook up. Everything about them was off. No way in hell will the Patriots play that poor.

That's the only way I see this game coming down to 3 points.

Ive found that these games never go as expected.

Everyone was expecting a NE blowout in SB42 and it was down to the wire and low scoring. It seems like the consensus is that the Giants are going to roll right over the Pats. A pass rush that cannot be stopped, WRs that will light up the NE backfield, and Eli Manning who can do no wrong.

Says who? Money says everyone thinks the Pats will win by at least 3.

I or this team for that matter of fact, don't need to pretend that this team is an underdog for them to win. They can win just fine as the favorites, and that's what they are. They are favored to beat the Giants even in a close game.

As long as we are on the prevailing side, I don't care if we win by 2 points in the third quarter of overtime.

I think its 99.9% likely that if the Pats can put 30 on the board and the total points of the game are 50 or more they will win this game

If the total score is less than 40 points then the game falls right into the Giants hands and they win.

If they go deep into overtime I might have to watch the rest of the game from my hospital bed.

I dont know if this team can win another one of these close games. They have to try and get a decent lead.Just try and get ahead by 13 points more.I still dont trust the defense even though they maded a valiant effort against the ravens.

The defense would need the same type of performance they had against the Cowboys in September and the Ravens last week.

I beleive those were the only 2 games of the 18 played thus far where the defense had to get down to business because the offense was struggling and they had to rescue Brady.

You can't rely on this defense to do it again, especially in a game that is for the World Title......This has to be on Brady's shoulders to carry them to a victory and Brady cannot afford another 56 QB ratings type game.

Well right now the over/under is 55 and the spread grew to -9, falling in line with just about what yards per point would predict.

That's just in two days after the Giant's uplifting win. This is how Vegas gets ya Did any of you already bet on the Giants right after the game? Three points underdogs seemed easy, no? ;)

I said 10 points earlier in the week. But 10,9,11. Doesn't really matter except for the spread. I see a two score win.

Here's an interesting stat, two teams held the Giants offense to only 10 points, the Eagles and Washington. The Eagles beat the Giants 17-10, despite a -turnover margin and Eagles coughing up 3 turnovers. Then Washington kept them to 10 points and the Giants offense coughed up 3 turnovers on Dec 18th.

Yeah, they may think their defense has improved, but that offense, has problems. And I saw it against the 49ers too. They don't capitalize and make sloppy mistakes.

It's called a salary cap and it's made the game a LOT more competitive and fun to watch.

if i had to put money down, itll be at least 10 pt differential

for one team or another

I agree

I think there is going to be one of these teams that turns the ball over multiple times ...maybe 4 or 5 or so and this game will be over with more than 10 minutes remaining....Tha'ts my guess.

I see the Pats winning it by 14+ and Brady with a QB rating around 135

That doesn't make any sense because the team that lost by 20 points in those blowout Super Bowls all those years also didn't have the cap to worry about just like the team that won those blowouts.

You confuse me here.

Did you watch NO Saints vs Indy in 2010? 31-17
Bucs-Raiders in '03? 48-21
Ravens-Giants in '01? 34-7
Broncos - Falcons in '99? 34-19
The list goes on and on....

You know what really decides blowouts? Turnovers.

When the weaker offense turns over the ball you get a blowout. They can't afford turnovers. So when they do, they give up one of their few opportunities to score.

In this case that would be the Giants. They can't afford turnovers.

I won't make it if it's a 3 pts game. Hope they are up 21 at half...but see the lead being taken and given up all game

I plan on being wasted by about 8pm EST, might make the game more bearable if it comes down to the wire. I also figure this way I have a head start on either celebrating or attempting to forget about that day.

Are you watching it at Sports HQ or Coopers?

I think there is also Saints and Sinners?
