Three friggin days of talking about this Tim Thomas/White House non-story. My head is on the verge of exploding. Same thing with 98.5.

This is what EEi specializes in sensationalizing something and then beating it to death. Years ago a red sox player was accused of battery,(wil cordero) four over a month that was all that was talked about, the player was run out of town. In the end it turned out she made the whole thing up.

The Sports Hub is spending a lot of time on that too. So far most of this morning has been about Princes's contract......Don't worry. It won't be long before we have the Superbowl coming out of our ears. It will turn in to a political type campaign complete with mudslinging and dirt digging. Legitimate analysis will be hard to come by. It's been long already but the next week and a half will be torture. I might have to pull out my 3 games to glory series to help pass he time:)

All I know is Gronkowski on media day will be legendary. They need to have one of the Univision hotties ask him some questions.

There's going to be PLENTY of Pats coverage once this Tim Thomas Teapot Tempest dies down. That's why they're addressing it now. There is no real Football to cover, really.

At least Felger and Mazz (and that Tub of Goo Bertrand) tried kicking a 32 yard Field Goal yesterday to justify their Cundiff mocking. Felger was apparently the only one who could muster it. I think as a staff, they were 2 of 15 with Felger as the only one who hit a FG. There's a real football story for ya...

yeah i know the bruins won the cup, but hockey is far down on the map, i cant understand the talk... after 2 weeks they will have plenty of that crap to talk about..

1. The Tim Thomas story mixes sports and politics. Which are two of the most talked about subjects on the airwaves today.

2. The Bruins are not way down the line. They are not the Pats, but its the off season in baseball and no one cares about the Celtics. Not to mention the B's are one of the best teams in the league.

3. Its two weeks til the superbowl. If they talked about this game continually til then, i'd be pulling my hair out (whats left of it that is). Its always a slow week on the off week prior to the superbowl. The talked will heat up early next week. Im using the time to brush up on draft talk.

Seriously, you want TWO WEEKS OF SUPER BOWL TALK?? Uugghhh!!!
I'm thrilled Tim Thomas blew of Barry Obama's photo-op and gave the mediots something else to cry and whine about for a few days.
Thanks Timmy!
Nothing is more boring than the week after the Conference championship games.
Thanks again Timmy!

Just stick with 98.5 10-2 for Zo and Gresh, that's your best football talk of the day. Neither station is listenable before 10 a.m. and after 2 I switch back and forth. If I'm in the car after 6 it's 98.5 all the way; Mike Adams doesn't know a football from a badminton birdie.

Fought it for a long time but listen to them now, as I do not like Gresch from the days he was on the old "790 the score" in RI, but Zo is pretty good... but Gresch and his voice gets under my skin.

But worse than Gresch is Felger...

The 6-10 slot on 98.5 is much better than EEI...

Is it really possible to spend too much time talking about football?

Who knew?

Your first mistake was listening to WEEI.

The only people who should bother with WEEI are fans of hearing the same 180054GIANT commercial every 8 minutes and people who enjoy being miserable Red Sox fans.

Gresch can be irritating but he definitely does know football.

the prez called our boy from Halifax a little ball of hate...:D

I agree, let them talk about Timmy. He has strong beliefs on this one, the Bruins called him out a bit but in the end I totally respect his decision.

He is money in the playoffs, a playmaker, lets hope that rubs off on our boys next weekend..

I as critical of WEEI as anyone, but I can't fault them for throwing in other talk this week. Two weeks is a long time to stretch Super Bowl talk every day even if your team is in the game.

If you don't have anything new to say it is.......

but I must say I am sick of hearing about Joe Pa's funeral.

Find his sophomoric humor a lot nauseating..
I'm with you can't stand his voice, his tenth grade humor or his pontificating. I last about five minutes, then i have to turn him off.

He doesn't. He really doesn't. I'm often amazed at how many easy things he misses. For a guy who played the game, it's got to be embarrassing to be as clueless as he is.

Gresch is pretty annoying at times and can be a bit of a hack, like when he lets the callers through that he claims to dislike as if he doesn't have the choice of whether to take the damn call.
