Another good read with picture breakdowns, this time focusing on how Gronk and Hernandez are used and the matchup issues they present.

Regards,
Chris

Rap tweeted that Gronk has ligament damage, ****.

A sprain is essentially ligament damage - any strain/sprain is tearing fibers of the ligament. They heal.

Please be alright. Please be alright. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. If there is a god, please heal this man. If not, ****....

I'm sure Gronk will be fine. Speed was never his thing anyway.

He came back in the game shortly after leaving, he'll be fine.

If Gronk is anywhere near a 100 %,NE will do damage in the SB!

He came back in the game but also stayed in the game, he was back in for Brady's QB dive TD and was in every play thereafter - admittedly only about a dozen plays. He blocked for the run and went out into pass routes. Will be be a little slowed for the SB ? Maybe. Will be be at higher risk to re injure it during the SB ? Probably. But he will be playing barring a setback between now and then.

My God....Gronk will cut his foot off at the ankle if it is posing him any problems in playing in the SB....

Do any of you think he wouldn't do it?
Do any of you think he wouldn't put up 8 catches, 125 yds, 2 TD's if he did?

This is honestly the most significant change the Pats have undergone since superbowl 42. These tight ends have changed the offensive philosophy that really killed the Patriots 4 years ago. With Randy Moss, etc plays took longer to develop which really played to the Giants strength in getting to Brady. This year, the short passing game is used much more effectively with Gronk, Hernandez and Welker. I think that this difference will definitely make it harder for the Giants defenders to get to Brady and minimize the pressure that he sees in the game. I think a lot of analysts have forgotten this when they compare the teams this year to the teams that played in superbowl 42. What do you guys think?

People are talking like the teams haven't met this year.

The TE's present huge problems for the Giants, and they got their yards (150+) in the 1st meeting. The score was still low, though, and the defensive front was able to pressure Brady pretty often.

I agree but I can also see how much it affects Brady's long ball when they do need to throw it up. Need to let him take some shots earlier in the game this time just in case it comes down to needing that again.

If there's one thing the Giants do have is the long shots. Those kill you too.

Gronk came back, but that doesn't mean he'll be able to play effectively.

Ahmad Bradshaw came back in a game earlier this year for the Giants, then he missed a month with a crack in his bone. If Gronk's is a high ankle sprain, it could be trouble. See: Big Ben, Maurkice Pouncey, Adrian Peterson, heck, even Sidney Crosby.

I saw a video report today in which they show him at Gillette he was limping slightly. It looked like a Sprained Ankle. Two weeks rest should do it.

Yeah, it's going to be a lot of their safeties on Gronk and Hernandez. Vernon Davis caught one ball outside of those two where he slipped behind the safeties with his absurd speed. We need Gronk to be near 100 percent for this.

I think you have a good point.
