People don't give the Pats' o-line enough credit. It is probably one of the best one the Giants are going to face all year. Yes, they gave up two sacks in the first game, but that was in part that Vollmer was playing RT (and he clearly was never 100%) and there was instability at the center position at the time.

NY's DC is gone but NE's OC is back and has the advantage of having worked for the former DC. How much will that help NE in game planning? Josh had to have learned something about his approach and not much has changed philosophically for the Giants. Game plans are different no doubt but tendencies are what they are.

We talk about Gronk being a Super Super pick but the same can be said for Nate Solder who makes Vollmer's play seem so mediocre at RT. Nate Soldier will be a Perenial Pro Bowler strarting next year he reminds of Bruce Armstrong you remember him in our lean years? As consistent as they come.

Rob - I am trying to figure out if there are other factors more important than a pass-rush when it comes analyzing our O's poor performance at times.
For eg: why was Brady unable to complete many crucial throws when it mattered or big completions even though he wasn't sacked or hurried or hit that often by the Ravens?
I understand that our WRs or TEs could have been blanketed or taken out of their routes immediately but if that is true, isn't that more important than a pass-rush?
The biggest concern is stopping the Jedi Mind Tricks the Giants put on Green Bay and San Fransisco to make them fumble and produce non forced non execution.

It will be the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object indeed…but I think Josh/BOB/Dante/Fears will have draws, quick passes to get the ball out, and the no huddle ready to go. Hopefully, the NYG front 7 will be gassed trying to get to TB as he gets the ball out quickly.
Have the Pats had a better offense to combat the pass rush than the 2011 Edition? The smurfs/TE/juggernaut offensive line will keep the ball moving.
