"Sorry we didn't put our best outing on the football field tonight and i promise you [pause] the next time we step out on the field it won't be the same thing, i promise you that"

Just by the tone of his voice i know he and the offense are gonna have a monster game in Indy.

Nice

I hope "85" is active. I know he has been terrible this season but why not, let him be one of the heroes. Great story!!! It would be anyway.

If Branch is anywhere near as productive as his other 2 SB's we are good

Coming from most players, this is just talk. From a guy who showed up enough to be MVP of one of these games, it means something.

Yep. The Giants secondary is nothing like Bmore. If Brady gets time, Gronk/AH/Welker/Branch and maybe even Och should be able to seperate.

I fixed it for you.lol

On a serious note, I got the same optimistic feeling as you when I watched the clip. He seemed to have this focus in him when he spoke and it made me feel as confident as you do. I really hope it materializes on the field on Feb. 5. Winning this SB wouldn't erase the bad taste of SB42, but it would go a long way.:)

What else should he say? Nothing matters except how they execute at the SB. The Giants are not a walk in the park.

I hope he doesn't play a single snap, gets his unearned ring, collects his last paycheck for whatever amount of millions he jacked from this franchise (that should've went to Welker) and then promptly gets cut.

i think the offense sucking this game is the best thing that could have actually happened

they dont believe in the humble pie when BB preaches it, well now theres evidence, obviously after that Denver game the offense was feeling pretty good, now they are back down to earth, now they almost lost a conference championship game

they will be extremely ready, i would HATE to be on the patriots defense during scrimmage these next two weeks

It's going to get really confusing if Deon Grant makes a play against Dion Branch.

So the guy who has inside sources on Belichick retiring can't even spell his name correctly?

I agree, but...

In 2007 they lit up Jacksonville similar to what they did to Denver, then Brady struggled vs. San Diego. Then I was confident the offense would rebound vs. NY.

The big difference between then and now is Brady's walking boot, though.

Regards,
Chris

This postseason >>>> 2007 so far. We did not light up Jville nearly as bad as we lit up Denver. Game was over by halftime. And the SD game we were fortunate to play a depleted team. Rivers playing on one leg, no LT, and Gates was hobbled too. But they still struggled in that one too. That team should have sleepwalked through those matchups. The Ravens who were full strength and looked at as many as the #1 AFC team much of the season were a much tougher win than either of the '07 wins. The Patriots right now are playing their best ball of the season, cannot say that about 2007.

I would guess he's still in the record books for some Super Bowl receiving records.

If nothing else, since relatively few teams have played in back-to-back Super Bowls, a number of Pats are in the record book on that basis. (One of my favorite trivia questions: Name an NFL record held by Mike Vrabel.) Beyond that, I wonder whether anybody else has had 21 receptions in a pair of consecutive played-in Super Bowls (I think that's Deion's number) -- even Jerry Rice.

Bill Belichick has gotten a VERY young team to play with toughness, like he WANTED

win or lose in two weeks, he LIKES this team, hes not going to let them be, he WANTS to coach this team

now say we won the SB in 09.....i can see an argument

BB goes out with brady, or 3-5 years AFTER brady

Not going to happen. I think he be here for another 4-5 seasons.

I think Kraft is very close to giving him an extension, and will do so once the season is over.

IIRC, Belichick's contract is up at the end of the 2012 season. With the back to back #1 seeds, this yr's SB appearence, and the recent talk from Kraft how he thinks "Belichick will go down as the best HC ever," I see no reason to believe that Kraft will not extend him this off-season.
