Let’s use this thread to share helpful info among us Pats fans going to Indianapolis for the Super Bowl.

Find a good hotel deal? Please share it with others here.

Are flights expensive where you are coming from? I found that I can fly from SoCal to Louiville, KY for about $300 RT and then rent a car to make the 2 hour drive.

Have a strategy for purchasing tickets? For SB42, I got mine from a broker 24 hours before kick off for probably 30% less than market prices. No special technique; just a lot of phone calls and persistence. Also at Arizona I heard that there was a designated area for scalpers where someone with a scanner could verify that the tickets were real as there have been major problems with people getting scammed with fake tickets in the past. Hopefully they’ll be doing the same thing again this year.

Here’s a list of most of the events going on but I’m sure there are more.
Event Calendar

The Indy Pats Fan Club is planning some parties for Pats fans so stay tuned for more info on that.

The Louisville Airport is right on I-65, and the drive to Indy is cake. If flights are cheaper in the Lou...I'd jump on that.

That being said, if flight pricing is comparable, Indy's airport is amazing for traffic ease.

Thanks for starting this SoCal. I am going to the game. I hate the ticket thing. We overpaid for AZ because we bought early, because in Houston there were no tickets left for those who waited too long. Ticket prices today are outrageous. I expect they will fall in about a week, but what if they don't? Hate the waiting game and wish that somehow they could only sell tickets at face value only and not make a profit off the little guy who just wants to see his/her team in the big game.

If it hasn't been noted before, Patriots fans are going to have to be very loud.

Indy isn't exactly a place where the Patriots are well loved... Local fans may opt to root for the brother of the local starting QB (at least for the time being)

I guess in some ways it's a good thing that the vast majority of tickets are going to folks outside of the NY, New England, Indy fan base

Whats a good place for pats fans that are going to indy, but not attending the game to watch the game and get rowdy? got a strong group coming in from chicago.

My wife has friends in Indy so I convinced her months ago to plan to visit them on Superbowl weekend. We booked flights for $115 each to Chicago since they were at least $200 cheaper per person. Got a rental car on priceline for $7/day. The drive is like 3.5 hours.

I probably won't be able to afford a ticket but would like to watch from a Pats bar near by Lucas Oil.

Flights into CVG look pretty decent. According to google maps, it's only about a 90 minute drive. Cars are abundant too.

Hotels in IND seem really tight.

Just out of curiosity, how do season ticket holders get SB tickets? Also, are they as ridiculously priced as the ones on StubHub, or is there just a little markup?

I won't be going. I paid $2K for 4 tickets to the Pats/Jets game...that won't even get me ONE SB ticket :(

i live in Fort Wayne (2hr drive) from Indy i know i cant afford the ticket for the game but i heard they will be charging 200 for tickets to watch the game outside.

i think i might make the drive down there and see if i can find a free place to watch the game. wish i could afford the ticket especially only being 2hr drive from my fav team.

Season ticket holders are called during the week and given prices on tickets at a very low price i remember my old manager paid around 3000k for 2 tickets for him and his wife and they weren't nose bleed seats

Im looking for someplace to stay in Indy.

Arriving 1/31 and leaving 2/6. Driving from KC.

I was shut out in the lottery once again (what else is new?). So, I'm on the hunt for two tickets. Anyone who can help out, let me know! My buddy and I likely will be driving if we get tix.

Got ticket (1) on stubhub. Flying into Dayton, instead of Indy, probably saving $400 on flight alone. Would be nice to bunk/crash w/someone on Sunday night instead of making the drive back (share hotel costs of course)

Also parking questions. Looking online it looks like price gouging is in full effect for just parking. Any tips? I see parking garage spots at the low end for $60 about a mile out from the stadium. Is there lots of street parking in Indy?

They did it already? I'm a season ticket holder and didn't hear anything about it. How did you find out?

The person on the account should have gotten an e-mail saying whether you were successful or not. We were shut out too. Damn club seat holders!!

I never got an email, telling me either way. I usually get all the emails from them. It's odd that I got nothing. Do you have to enter yourself into the lottery or are season ticket holder automatically entered in?
