Brendon Ayanbadejo: "Two best teams are sitting at home"

Sounds like someone's got a case of the Kordells.

Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I just heard it on the radio. He can sit at home in the dark and dine on sour grapes on Sunday in two weeks for all I care.

Sounds like loser talk to me!

The Saints & Packers?

He seems to forget the fact that Super Bowl teams are the two best teams, just because they beat every other team to get to the Super Bowl?

Gostkowski > Cundiff = 23 / 20 = Patriots > Ravens

I don't think the best team always wins, or that winning means the team is best. That's what makes sports so great.

What I think is funny is loser teams claiming they were better. They might be right, they might be wrong. When they give a trophy out for who is "better" is the day I'll give a crap.

If your team.....

Is +2 on turnovers....

Has a "career" day from your QB........

Gets a bad day from the opposing QB.......

and still can't win.......

Maybe it's time to think about the concept of "best". Seems the better case can be made that everything fell into place for them to not suffer a blowout.

Love the "better team lost" angle. Still at the end of the day, they watching the superbowl on the couch and not the sideline.

Obviously, they have 2 weeks to practice they can enjoy home for a bit.

:D you mad Brendon?

In the alternate universe that resides in Mr. Ayanbadejo's mind, along with the unicorns and pink skies, he can be content to watch the Packers-Saints Super Bowl and cheer for whomever he wants.

For the rest of us, we shall watch the actual Super Bowl.

After hearing about Jerry West waxing on about how the Lakers were the better team, talented, etc...despite losing the NBA Championship, Bill Russell said to a reporter:

"I guess that's why they keep score..."

The best AFC is certainly sitting at home now.

That will become painfully obvious in 2 weeks.

It would be delusional to think the Pats match up well to the Giants.

Manning is insane on 3rd Down. The Pats are atrocious defending 3rd down.

Eli > Flacco (right now).. work it out..

Giants front 4 will pressure Brady into another 'bad day'.

No home field advantage for the Patriots spells a double digit loss.

I am however open to 'arguments' countering this reality check.

Yo, Brendon. That's why they play the games.

Despite comments like this from the "yeah but" and "should've lost", this team is on a 10 game winning streak.. not bad considering your reality. No matter how you cut it, we are going to the Superbowl for the 5th time in the past 12years, flaunt it when you got it.

The two best teams, according to Rex that would be the Jets and someone else???..
