Hmm, just reading through some old threads..

http://www.patsfans.com/new-england...-right-after-10-years-there-needs-change.html

Meh, Bill Walsh was great but he also thought Giovanni Carmazzi was great. Some times people are wrong..

The Kool-Aide is not stale at all. Oh' ya....

http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/10/839408-end-our-great-ride.html

Reasonable post, but ya the ride is still going..

http://www.patsfans.com/new-england...kraft-vs-belichick-does-bob-have-cajones.html

Mr.Kraft knows what he is doing. You don't take a 150 million investment and turn it into a 1.5 billion asset without knowing what you are doing...

Now I do not bring up these post to say "I told you so". Or to say "the Pats made the SB, homers win". I bring them up to show how wild it is to be a fan of a sports team..

2 months ago people where questioning whether BB should be canned, was the end near for BB and Tommy. And there is nothing wrong with that. That is fandom.

This is just a part of the ride for us Pat fans. Questioning, fighting, and above all winning....

I am drinking the kool-aide baby, and frankly just enjoying the ride....

So how does is it feel that the Pats are going back to the SB??????????

AWWWWWWW-YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..

Not sure what the point of a thread like this is.

There were a lot of us who, for most of the season, knew that the Patriot would likely have to win a game when Brady didn't play well, and we were skeptical that the defense could play well enough to make that happen. Today, they did, and, as Patriots fans, we're all thrilled. That doesn't mean that everyone who was skeptical is an idiot. Hell, given the roster shuffling that we saw in the secondary over the course of the season, I'd bet that there were times when Belichick himself was skeptical. But he was able to find a group of personnel that worked well together, and we all know the rest. It's a great story, but that doesn't mean that it was unfounded to be worried about 2010 redux playing out back when the Patriots were 5-3 and coming off of consecutive losses. In that context, taking a victory lap by calling out a bunch of other fans just seems petty and dumb.

Bottom line: the Patriots won today. They're in the Super Bowl. It says a lot about the OP that the first thing that he thought to do is come and be an ass to other Patriots fans who, earlier in the season, posted criticisms that varied between well-founded and insane. This is a good time. Spend more time enjoying it and less time ripping on your fellow fans.

Nah, it says more about you, for completely missing the point of the thread. Lose the sensitivity.

And it is 3:50AM eastern, WTF are you talking about with "the first thing that he thought to do"

Amazing game. Go Pats.

Some of those guys deserve to be ripped given their stupidity and lack of faith in this coach. Personally, I wouldn't bother with them, but the words are all there in black and white. Maybe a little comeuppance will give them pause before they make a similar ridiculous post in the future. Somehow though, I doubt it.

Mine always tastes better than washing down the old blood pressure meds with purely bitter bile...which has often been the flavor of the month here since 2008 or so. As a youngster my favorite flavor was raspberry, but since they don't make it in my dotage I blend whatever I can find into a fallback flavor I call IBBWT. Yummy....

It tastes like Victory!

the defense was just as porous as usual.......the difference is that individual plays have emerged.....

wilfork - man on a mission....he single handedle ruined much of the game plan and made between the tackles a waste of time for most of the game
mayo - some pretty heady solo tackles
spiked - read a play the way tedy bruschi used to
moore - did not quit on the play and saved the pats season

all of these plays made the cundiff kick possible

I said it back when the doom and gloomers were out in full force and I will say it again. Until he proves that we need to think otherwise, In Bill We Trust!!!

I was labelled a homer then. I was proven right yesterday.

It isn't Kool Aide drinking if you give one of the greatest coaches of all time the benefit of the doubt and give him the chance to fail before you attack him.

It says alot about our village idiots with responses like this.

It's more enjoyable to have an AFCC because the team is going to the Super Bowl and it's shows the village idiots to be......village idiots.

The vast majority of "posted criticisms" were not well founded. They were stupid complaints provided by qualified individuals.

Go sulk somewhere else. Us fans have a Super Bowl to discuss.

Considering most of the doom and gloomers would insult me and anyone else who didn't jump off the bandwagon for defending Belichick back in October after the back to back losses, I don't know why any of them could be upset that people are throwing it back in their face now.

Well, we know one dummy who will not let it go.

Anyone care to join? He has an extra cone hat and a warm seat over in the corner.

Bingo........This is what I don't understand with the chicken littles. It's not a difficult concept. How about we have, oh I don't know, 1 mediocre season before we start doubting the system we have in place. It doesn't seem unreasonable, but every year we got a handful of Debbie Downers to cast doubt, and rain on everybody else's optimism.

I'm not saying everybody has to be all puppy dogs, and ice cream all the time, but jesus, the constant success should at least buy the benifit of doubt.
