via steve wyche of nfln ravens say they need to be physical and hit them in the mouth because they saw vs steelers and giants that the patriots start to not play well when they get hit and "get bullied"...fwiw..

It had to be said.

If they bring that assumption to today's game, they'll be cleaning out their lockers next week.

Good luck hitting Gronk.;)

He put up 196 yds 15 receptions and a TD in both games combined, never mind the countless defenders that'v bounced off em all season.

The Patriot way is to talk nice, give no bulletin board material for the other team. However, the past few years I have seen teams bully the Patriots, trash talk the Patriots and then the Patriots go out and play like they are intimidated. Sometimes I wish the Patriots would go out and do some trash talking and be the bully and then go out and bully the other team. I'm sure BB could come up with some great trash talking.

What next, "their defense is getting old"?

Wonder if Tebow is feeling the Patriots' finesse still from last week.

Trash talking only matters to the mentally weak. If you have to trash talk to buoy your play for the actual game you're a poor fit for this team.

Go out, execute, win. Leave the talk to others.

Ravens don't like having to score 30.

Patriots dont need to trash talk! They do their talking on the field. I hope they hit the Ravens in the mouth even harder. I could see a few fights starting today! I had a dream last night, Ravens got the ball and the first ball from flacco was a pick six by Mayo. Then Ray Rice fumbles and Patriots recover. By half time it is 28-0 Patriots. Lets hope my dream comes true. that would be wild!

We lost to the giants because of turnovers and pass interference. We lost to the steelers because we didn't execute and the defense couldnt make a few key stops. None of this has to do with being punched in the mouth.

well until we prove it today , it needs to be said... the only way to shut the smack off is hit them back and they have a opportunity to do that..

Following their former DC the Rexster off the cliff of rhetoric. Enjoy Hawaii Suggs!

Apparently analysts and players/coaches of other teams haven't paid attention to how nasty the Pats d is when spikes and chung are playing. I wonder how flacco will react to being "hit in the mouth" just as hard?

Trash-talking is the surest sign of weakness. What it says is that "my play on the field isn't physical or tough enough so I need to compensate for that shortcoming ahead of time with my mouth."

Trash talking only intimidates weaker teams. Punch a bully right back in the mouth and they quiet down in a hurry.

During the 01-07 run this team DID talk a lot of trash ON the field. Bru, Rodney, Sey, Vrable, etc talked trash big time. I'm relly not a fan of it occuring though the media but I do believe that at some level, there is room for it in high-stakes sports. Psycological warfare is part of the game and if there is an opportuntiy to get your opponant mentally distracted, you do it.

Ultimately, the only way you measure the effectiveness of trash talk is how the team plays on the field.

I do believe the Dolphins and Bill hit us in the mouth the last two games of the season. We might not like it but we certainly don't go down. Big difference over the last few years.

On behalf ofthe offensive line, I take that very personally. BJGE, Mankins is pissed, just run behind him.
