Ravens pass rush

In their last 4 games they have 3 sacks and 8 qb hits, while giving up 14 sacks and 18 qb hits. Are they tiring? They wanted the 1st seed, so they were definitely trying.

Short week for them too; how much do they have left in the tank?

Once Brady gets a look at their D schemes ... then no huddle ... I think they will be gasping. (hope)

Re: Ravens pass rush

Pagano seems to like to go into a lot of coverage when playing younger QB's. I think that is more a function of the teams we have played than of anyone getting tired. Sizzle didn't have many sacks last game but had a few pressures that resulted in interceptions.

Re: Ravens pass rush

perhaps but they let up a lot of sacks and qb hits..thought oher had a bad game too( who is one of my fav ravens, after seeing the movie about him).

i dont believe they will get to Brady with jsut 4 rushing..will pick when they blitz carefully. even everyone says ray has slowed down, was impressed by him in coverage...no replacing experience

This is great stuff I wish we saw more of it. 3 points -

1. The clip would have been better if they had shown the play from the coaches tap or TV feed.

2. 25 years ago I regularly played tag football with Tim Fox. He was a great safety and a super athlete even into his 40's. He was also a great guy. What really pisses me off is that he looks almost the same. The guy is in his 60's too. He must have a picture in the attic. ;)

3. That D they drew up looked very tough to defend. I wish they showed what Brady could have done to thwart this formation. Tough to call a blocking pattern when their is no Mike. I hope we are prepared for it this year.

I think they are going to get to brady for sure. Just need to see what crucial situations it happens. Plus an interesting stat is that the ravens red zone defense has not given up more than 1 passing touchdown per game. So remains to be seen how we do there.

Hope Woodhead is ready to dart on the 3rd and 7 draw!

But lets just say whatever the Ravens do, Brady has seen before, whoever the Ravens have, the Pats have played better, BUT the Ravens have never in person seen an offense with this kind of talent that will attack them, the way the Pats will on Sunday. I think the Ravens will be the ones scrambling for answers. But that illustration sure does make you apprieciate a little what a QB has to deal with in the NFL. I have a hard time keeping track of which way my 2 kids are going, nevermind 11 Angry Men with bad intentions.

One of the first games I ever went to as a Pats fan when I was a kid I saw this small guy running all over the field throwing his body around like a mad man, I asked my buddy who that nut job was, he said thats Tim Fox, he definately stood out on a football field when he played.

WR runs a slant. If there's a slot WR he runs a dig. Of course, it's easier on paper when you know it's coming.

I say this with an unblemished record of staunch heterosexuality.....

I love him. ;)

Re: NFLN :AFCCG Playbook

Also it's replaying in 13 mins, which is what I've been waiting for, so I can see how Billick actually makes himself believe the Ravens D can stop the Pats.

He kinda just picks the Ravens after agreeing with everyone elses reasons for why the Patriot's will win.

i think he shows about how they apply pressure like the bills did

Nice segment!

Can we please have Fox & Brock back on the radio postgame and toss those turds Gresh and Tanguay into the icy cold harbor?

I would think a draw would do the trick.

The question should be: Can the patriots offensive line handle the ravens pass rush? I really hope on both questions.
