Let's do this!

What did you want them to say?
"We've had better weeks..."?

Its not like this changes anything.

I just want to hibernate for the next 2 days....let's go PATS!

42 hours remaining until liftoff. :D

It's been a long week!

I seriously believe that playoff momentum is as important as most any factor. Look through our history and you'll see examples of teams, or at least defenses, that came together late, as well as teams who peaked early.

I would Present 2002 and 2007 as examples of teams that peaked early, primarily on offense.

2001 was definitely a team building as the playoffs came on.

Recalling peak levels is actually a fun game to play.

If you don't think Belichick, with his play calling, choice of when to bring injured players back, type of practices and motivational tricks, is not constantly experimenting with peaking at the right time, you just don't get it.

Does anybody else get the feeling that the fans are ready too? It's going to be deafening at The Razor, and it's going to help the home boys ALOT! I can't wait! After the game the players will be praising the fans just like they did last week. The fans stepped up and will again IMHO!

Let's go!!!!!

i just hope the defense can contain the long passes flacco likes to throw.

My son had soccer tonight in the Dana Faber fieldhouse. Usually some inside lights are lit in the stadium but tonight the stadium was all lit up ... I'm thinking the calm before the storm ... so quiet and the storm is rolling in.

It was a great site and a great feeling ... a very tranquil and confident feeling. :D:D:D

of course they are ready..it's the AFC champ game

Dear Mike, thanks for giving me a Boston-the-band earworm! ;)

The Texans sacked him (5) times. We will match that...

I'm assuming you have followed this team for more than a couple of years. With that being said, when have you ever seen this team relaxed, smiling, joking with the media on Thursday's before a playoff game? Never, except for last week, and this week they were smiling and joking on Wednesday, including BB. This team has a quiet confidence about themselves and in a manner in which we haven't seen before by a BB led Patriots team.

Then look at the Ravens; the brash, bold, chest pumping team is suddenly reserved. I think they sense what they are up against and see no reason to poke it. They will come prepared and ready to lay an ass whooping that unfortunately, they are physically unable to give.

Things definitely seem like they are playing out in an alternate universe based on the teams attitude/preperation and dealings with the media for this game.

The texans defense is better than the patriots. Hopefully the pats can get to him better than what people expect.

I think most people 'expect' our defense to get to Flacco at least a few times. They may not get to him as many as HOU did, but there's no reason not to expect some kind of pressure.

Judging by your posts in this thread and some of the other ones, I sense that you are extremely nervous about the game.

Remember that the Patriot defense has buckled down pretty nicely since moving McCourty back to safety in subpackages, and slotting Sterling Moore in his place.

There really hasn't been much of a threat to this since its inception in the last couple/few games, and it really helped to solidify the secondary in both positions where it was lacking. This may be the move of the season. At least when it comes to defense.

Also keep in mind that we've had good success with getting some very key players back healthy, such as Spikes, Fletcher, Chung etc. That has helped this defense out a lot.

One more thing to consider in that this 2011 Patriot defense is allowing approx. 18 points per game at home this season.

While we are all apprehensive to a point, there is certain reason to also feel confident heading into a home game with a very rowdy crowd and a potent offense. Have faith and enjoy it as much as you can.
