Championship week notwithstanding, I think it's funny we haven't had a thread on this yet since it was announced hours ago. Just goes to show how much of an afterthought Miami has become.

Pretty lame choice if you ask me.

He's got incredible energy for a guy his age. I didn't even know he was a football expert too.

Yes, Kelly Ripa will be offensive coordinator.

So Philbin is a young Don Shula?

Mr. Ireland should get a head start on cleaning out his office.

I can see him bringing Flynn in as QB.............

Probably why he edged out McCoy who thought he had the job. He will run a WCO so Daboll is likely out. Be interesting to see if RAC taps him for KC's OC gig. He took Davidson with him to Cleveland but he's under contract with Minnesota as an OL coach now that Tice is their OC. Daboll was Ratgini's OC in Cleveland and RAC was there for the first year to assess that. The NFL this time of year is like a soap opera... Although there has been so much activity this post season already that I don't think his fans hereabouts even noticed that Mike Martz flat out retired...

OT: Phins hire Philbin for HC

Damn.. the fins actually got a guy as a HC who knows how to coach an offense.. I guess it's good that Ireland and Peterson are still there screwing things up..

Nope.. I had missed that.. Bruce Ariens, OC for the Steelers, also retired.

I noticed that earlier. Steeler fans are surly rejoicing; Arians has been their whipping boy and scapegoat that those fans blame almost everything on for a few years now.

espn's afc east blog agrees with you. makes sense and it could improve that team a bit. brandon marshall is itching for a competant qb.

I'm not sold that Flynn is better then Henne. After 16 games people can't make up their mind about Tebow, but after 2 games everyone is sold on Flynn.
