... I'd say there's a rivalry here.
Sorry, getting real tired of the disrespect, for no reason at all. If he doesn't like that response, he shouldn't instigate.
No rivalry? Are you joking?
It's obviously not on the level of Bird/Magic (what is?) but you're joking yourself if you don't think the Ravens have a perpetual axe to grind when it comes to NE. And let's not forget they handed us the most lopsided playoff defeat in the Belichick era... I'd say there's a rivalry here.
Of course the Ravens have an axe to grind with NE because except for the Ravens well-deserved win 2 years ago, the Patriots have owned them. Not NE rhetoric, simply the truth. Now Ravens fans may feel that there's a rivalry here, I can assure you that NE fans don't feel that way. Once again, no intention of disrespecting anyone, but the rivalry just isn't there. No rivalry? Are you joking?

Oh, man. I really love that “Mad Men” vs. “The Wire” analogy. Gisele’s beau and Bridget Moynahan’s baby’s daddy, Tom Brady, is the skirt-chasing Don Draper. Friend-to-porn star Rob Gronkowski is the irreverent, prostitute-buying Roger Sterling. Wes Welker is the squirrelly Pete Campbell. “The Wire” characters are even easier to identify. Ray “Sugar” Lewis is Avon Barksdale. Ed “Safety” Reed is Stringer Bell. And Terrell “T-Sizzle” Suggs is Wee-Bey.
Look, we can tip-toe around it, ignore the big beautiful elephant in the room, or we can embrace the fact that Sunday’s AFC Championship contest is soaked in the white-black racial component that has driven American sports passion at least since Jack Johnson whipped James J. Jeffries.
Ravens-Patriots is ultimate culture clash - NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN
In this article, Whitlock paints the Pats as the bad guys in this, cites officiating being in the Pats favor as the reason for Baltimore's regular season losses, drudges up Spygate, and plays the race card. Happy hunting!

not saying i appreciate the divisive talk in this article but to an extent he has a point. most of NE's stars are white, Baltimore's are black. Boston is perceived among many members of black America to be a bit of a racist city when it comes to sports, Baltimore is 2/3 black. (Sox were the last team in baseball to allow black players, etc). I do see shades of Magic/Bird here....which incidentally wasn't a bad dynamic, sports has in many ways been an arena where America confronts issues of race, often in my opinion to good effect. If we're looking at strength vs. strength in this game, NE's O vs Balt's D, there is a subtext and culture clash whether you want to admit it or not. I've had this thought this week even before reading this article.
Fact is a lot of the people on this board have been calling Baltimore's players "thugs" all week....I see where that comes in with Ray Lewis, but when it comes to Suggs its a pretty racially charged term that I've found a little sketchy.
I don't like Whitlock and him dredging up spygate is pretty irritating, but I don't find this article to be as outrageous as some of you.

The Ravens like and respect their AFC North rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers.
I love Tom Brady. Other than John Elway, he’s the quarterback I respect the most. But I’ll be rooting for Avon, Stringer and Wee-Bey. “The Wire” is my religion.
