As you may know, valued forum member Off the Grid has decided to move on and stop posting here at PatsFans. I don’t feel it is my place to say why he has made this decision, but he did tell me that it is something he had been considering for a while. For the past, almost 2 years he has been a valuable contributor, especially here in the draft forum where I believe he has been the heart and soul. So this is a thank you to OTG for everything you have contributed, especially here in the draft forum.

For the newer members here that haven’t had the opportunity to post over a full draft season, it’s hard to realise how much time and effort he has put into this place to create great draft discussion, inform us about unknown players or just make this place enjoyable with mock draft photos or player nicknames. Where would we have been without David Mims, Willie “The Fresh Prince” Smith and pride of the Colorado School of Mines, Marc Schiechl and Blaine Sumner.

Yes OTG is over the top, eccentric, and let’s face it, the guy is completely nuts. But he is one of us and those are what makes him great. When I first joined here, OTG was the first person to welcome me, and since then we have had some great discussions and I am lucky enough to call him a friend. So I am hoping in the near future he changes his mind and decides to return. For those of you that have enjoyed reading his work as much as I have, you should check out his website www.fanaticalfootballfiend.com Its one of the best draft resources on the net, and compiles scouting reports from all over the internet with OTG’s unique flair. He told me he will be adding a Patriots Corner Tab to his site in the next few days, so anyone interested in heading over and adding their own thoughts would be welcome.

So thank you Off the Grid and I hope to see you around here again soon.

Yeah, the structure of his posts are completely nuts, but they always had a surplus of enthusiasm. It brought life to the threads and he often had very informative things to say and report.

I'd be happy if he decided to come back.

Just want to add my appreciation for OTG. Whilst his multi-multi TE sets means I'm glad he's not our GM, I thoroughly enjoyed his unique slant on this draft board and the effort he was prepared to put in to make it a success.

This years pre draft experience will be a calmer, more serene one and that's not meant as a good thing.

Good luck to him and I hope we'll see him back here some time.

Grid was dead on about multiple TE sets, we kicked butt last season when we had Gronk, Ahern, and Crump all on the field at the same time. The only thing better than having Gronk on the field is having 2 Gronks on the field!

I don't have a problem with multi-TE sets, its the multi multi ones I'm not sure about. Wide receivers need work too you know.

And if you find me a second Gronk, I'll absolutely be in your camp with that. Unfortunately they broke the mould on that one (or more likely he broke it himself as he came crashing out of it).

I'm all about WRs getting into the act, which is why a TE with WR skills like Coby Fleener would be so lethal, the mis-match potential is incredible.

If we draft Coby Fleener @32, I will not be throwing my TV out of the window. I could certainly get behind that as a value pick.

OTG if you ever see this. thanks for all the posts. Your enthusiasm and outside the box thinking were both wonderful contributions to this place.
