Just letting you guys know. First was Suggs (who didn't take the bait about Brady and instead complimented him), then Rice (who said they need to sustain drives to keep Brady off the field), and now Flaccid Flacco (who is whining).

its the ravens....someone was BOUND to do it

RapSheet Wah wah RT @Jen_Royle: Flacco: "I'll be wearing a ring and holding the trophy and the perception (of me) won't change. I really don't care."

Good God. LOL.

Sounds like everyone on both teams is pretty much staying on message. Except Flacco's whining; sounds like someone's been rattled by his own teammate's words now.

He admitted he was rattled, but then tried to downplay the comments saying they talked, it is what it is, no big deal. That's obvious since almost all his teamates have felt it necessary to now come out here and publicly prop him up...

Flacco is just an odd dude, on and off the field.

Flacco did not whine. If anyone watched that interview objectively you could not say he whined. Somebody asked about whether his reputation would change and that was his response. He didn't say it in a whiny tone. Please stop drinking the juice for a second.

"Wow, you guys just will not let this go."

Both of those are whines. Just as his presser before the Texans game was a whine. And it's obvious that you've never read my posts before if you're calling me a Kool-Aid drinker.

That's now the third time he has complained about how the media perceives him. He could EASILY have avoided that question and just minimized the issue, and yet he chose to reafirm how he thinks the media undervalues him. I've never seen a player do something like this, have you?

I watched it. He's thin skinned and a little self absorbed to say the least. He started whining about his contract before the season. He bristles at his critics. Maybe that is why he's plateaued if not regressed. High floor, low ceiling. Up this way we're used to a GOAT who delivers remarkably consistently and yet always downplays his own greatness and still beats himself up so sufficiently that no teamate ever has to.

You're ignoring the question that preceded that second quote. But that's ok, cut and paste quotes out of context. I'm not going to try and explain it to people as stubborn as you.

What a whiny little douche. I hope we smash him on Sunday.

Flacco is just upset b/c the truth hurts.

You have to admit, your team whines quite a bit to the media. I'd take it any day over loud mouth Rex, but that is still what they are known for.

Well..he couldve simply said he is just trying to get ready for this big game instead of pointing out that even if he has a ring and a trophy it wont change.

Well ok, I mean I'll take your word for it. You realize that, outside of Patriots fans, the first thing people talk about when they mention the team is that they can't win a SB since they stopped cheating, right? Not trying to start trouble but just point out that there are negative perceptions about every team. Fans have a tendency to overinflate everything, no?

As far as Flacco goes, part of his problems stem from his own bad games but there is a LOT more going on than just his mistakes. He is being asked to play it safe quite a bit and the result is some fairly mediocre statistics. Have a look at the drive in Pittsburgh from this year. The guy is capable. Not great, but better than his reputation.

Most fans are ******* morons. I've been to many boards and this one has the most intelligent discussion and class. You don't see people call each other "***gots" or "gay" at a wim.

We only won 17 games in a row in a season post spygate along with 2 playoff wins and lost the SB in the last minute. Clearly spygate made us win.. 13-3 first round bye yet again, we suck!

Joey, son of Bert, will be whining a lot more on Monday, and he won't be holding a trophy or wearing a ring either.

When you complain, multiple times, about how the media perceives you, then in my eyes that's whining. Your mileage may vary, of course. FWIW, it seems like he cares about this stuff to his own detriment. It would probably help him as a quarterback to realize that the only opinions that matter are those of his coaches and teammates.

The difference however is that one is relevant to the conversation while the other is not. Fans do have a tendency to over inflate many things. For instance I think the Ravens and their flags are still whining about a flag thrown three years ago. This isn't a perception either, as there is clear evidence by Raven's fans on this message board to support it. This habitual whining by the team makes it difficult for insiders to discern when the team is or isn't whining. That is my only point.

As for what other fans think of spygate...most people are idiots. I find the subject is a pretty good litmus test.
