The Celtics would be in the draft lottery at 4-8 that puts them amongst the 11 worst NBA teams

Somewhere between 8th and 11th worst actually.

Time to break up the big 3 Danny ... while you still have time.

It will get better i guarantee it they should be in the running for #1 overall. They should try to Trade Ray to a ContenDAH! He could still be a good for a Team who needs some punch off the Bench.

Teams are asking about Pierce is the word ... things are heating up.

This team has potential, IMO. We should at least wait another month and see if things come together. However, if these things are still going on I would say yes, let's explore trade options:
-Garnett too weak to post up, no hops on defense, no rebounding.
-Pierce too slow to create his own offense as the go-to guy
-JO's absolute inability to protect the rim
-No scoring punch from the 2nd unit
-Rondo's play extremely inconsistent

The problem is the two guys I would most like to get rid of (KG and JO) no one will take. I would hate to give up Pierce, but I'd say he's next in line due to his rapid decline. Ray Allen still has plenty in the tank; aside from Rondo he's probably our most tradeable asset. If these guys want to go compete for a title I have no problem, as long as it isn't with MIA or LAL.

In order to execute trades like this we would need to get either young legs or draft picks in return. We need to find guys who can run and shoot with Rondo in the future. However, I'm not sure any team wants to give up much for the one year rental of an aging player. This is problematic.

Of course, the other option is to just let the chips fall where they may. If this team keeps its pace we may end up in the high lottery. KG, JO and Ray come off the books at season's end, and Paul Pierce could be amnestied. That would mean we could sign two max level free agents to pair with maybe Rondo, Bass, Green, Moore, Johnson and a lottery pick. That would set us right on course for a short rebuild. IMO this is the best option.

If the big 3 can turn things around, this team could be very dangerous in the playoffs. If they can't, we still profit through the lottery. I say allow these guys their farewell tour in Boston. They come off the books at season's end anyways.

Who's with me?

We're gaining ... we are up the 8th or 9th pick in the draft ... more balls more chances for #1 Danny.
