Imagine If the Ravens had Selected Gronk and AH in the 2010 Draft

joe flacco (cough, cough)

sometimes, situation has as much to do with it as talent

If the Ravens had taken Gronk and Hernandez, they would have been as famous right now as the two TEs the Ravens took.....who are they anyway?

Gronk and Hernandez have more TDs than Flacco threw this year.....they would just be blocking TEs in that offense that can occasionally catch a pass.

Agreed, if they get drafted by the Ravens, we might not be talking about either one of them.

Obviously they're not as good as Gronk and Hernandez, but the two young tight ends on Baltimore are pretty good themselves. Dennis Pitta makes plays when called upon and Ed ****son is a beast that catches everything thrown in his direction. Pats D will have to watch out for them.

what if the pats drafted jimmy graham instead of taylor price?

Flacco would limit their ceilings anyway, and the Patriots wouldn't be where they are now.

This is an interesting thread considering that in the 2010 draft the Patriots traded twice to get ahead of Baltimore to select Gronk and Hernandez. If we win this game it will have a lot to do with what went down that day.

Baltimore had two picks between the Pats taking Gronk and Hernandez. They took Sergio Kindle (remember him) and one of their tight ends.

Just once (GRONK). With Hernandez the Pats just happened to be right ahead of them. :)

We had a thread on that a while back...things that make you go Hmmmm.

LOL....300 yards passing in a game that did not see a WR take the field for one snap

Another thing to think about is the rumor that BB was going to draft Tim Tebow in the second round. I know this is conjecture but if BB was going to draft Tebow he would have made him a tight end. With his skills, I could see him in a Hernandez type role. But if that happened we probably wouldn't have drafted Gronk. Just glad things workrd out the way they did.

Yeah dont think Tebow would be much of an inline blocker.

flacco would still be throwing them the ball

lmao,

3TE, 1WR, 1RB offense?

if you go pass defense, we run it, and destroy, if you go run defense we pass it and destroy

that may be the ultimate offense, but the TE's would have to be above average blockers, and would have to be great pass catchers (as Hern, Gronk and Jimmy all are)

as good as he is, hernandez is not an above average blocker.....he's a rich man's dustin keller
