Makes absolutely zero sense to me. Why the hell does everyone doubt the giants? In 2007, we BARELY won that game by a late TD. When the superbowl rolled around, patriots were "heavy" favorites even though they were evenly matched in the regular season game.

Same thing happened today with the packers/giants. Everyone was saying how the packers will win because of there Offense, rodgers is having a historical year, blah blah blah. Giants put an ass whooping at the packers home where they are "unbeatable."

This isn't the NBA folks, you don't get a few games to settle in and get into your groove. One game and that is it. I want to see how the giants play when they are heavy favorites to win it all... having all that pressure mounted on them.

I also hate eli manning. Hate him. He always faces power puff defenses in the playoffs and lights them up. Lets see how he performs against an actual defense in the niners. Him and his lucky ass throws..

Doubt what? That they will win next week? Or win it all? Or?

Alot of people were picking the Giants believe it or not. All we heard was about 2007..lol..Packers should have been favored and so should have the Pats in the SB. In these games though the best team doesn't always win hypothetically. I'm not surprised they won, since I said the Packers would LOSE their first game regardless who they played..

Why are you acting as if the Giants are the '85 Bears?

The Giants are the kind of team that can beat anybody, but they can also lose to anybody

(like the Redskins... twice)

the packers would NOT have lose to the falcons or saints

I will leave believing in the Giants to Giants fans.

That is true about any team left in these playoffs..I see no dominent team left..

Not sure of the exact numbers, but the guy at my office who runs our bracket said that the Giants over the Packers was a popular pick. And I live over 1000 from either place. I heard lots of people picking them. Given that the Packers were the best team in the NFL playing at home that the Giants got as much love as they did is a complement. So I don't really know what OP is talking about. I think they will be a very fashionable pick.

All I heard listening to the radio Fri was watch out for the Giants, they're peaking at the right time, playing good defense, count me as one that does'nt know what the op's talking about.

If you read his OP it's pretty clear he doesn't know what he's talking about either. Since he basically answers his own question.

I think the board will be like this for the duration, sadly.

Somehow, the Giants have perfected the art of playing like garbage for most of the season then pulling out a couple of late games and squeezing into the playoffs, having suddenly remembered about the talent on their roster. It's bizarre, frankly.

Or to put it another way: People continue to doubt the Giants because less than a month ago, they had a losing record.

 Psst...home teams have one 7 of the 8 playoff games so far, including some upsets.

I'm starting to doubt this thread

Greetings,
I second that. Anyone who watched any sort of ESPN programming, FOX SPORTS, and listened to enough talk radio heard plenty of how dangerous the Giants were. All I heard about them was they were giving people Deja-Vu of the 2007 team again. The main reason why people did not start talking about them until later was because it was not even certain they would get into the playoffs until the very last NFL game of the season.
