You know, I know it's waaaaay over the top. Nobody's even paying attention to other legitimate playoff teams like Houston, 49ers. They might as well not exist. Brady, Brees and Rodgers might as well be a couple of complete afterthoughts but whenever they do talk seriously about them these guys show they do have sense, make great points, and the rest of it is just pure fun.

I had no idea it would reach this level, but now that it did I gotta admit. It really is entertaining. For once ESPN is actually living up to their name because they are ridiculously funny, and if you understand that they are trying to be entertaining on TV, and their job is not to be fair, or give fair coverage to everyone, you really do have to be a hater not to enjoy this. One of the most entertaining seasons in a long time, and honestly Pats should be feeling pretty good about facing them. Because whoever Tebow and the Broncos face from here on out, will be in the spotlight big time. They will get the benefit of all this, win or lose.

Some players may hate it. Some may complain. But honestly this went from annoying to just plain good and entertaining TV. It's not ESPN's duty to report fairly across and when it all comes down to it in the NFL, it's just a business. You can't just be good to get on TV. You also have to be entertaining, interesting and bring in good ratings.

It is what it is.

I'm hoping that ESPN.com has cause to repeat this:

Bayless refuses to give Tebow any blame no matter what. Always an excuse for that inept QB. Skip is a joke.

Tebow is a good player. People should start to give him credit.

He does the same thing for tom brady. Skip is the only real patriot fan on espn.

That's one of the greatest things about our country....FREEDOM to CHANGE the channel!!!

There is no way that tebow's body holds up with all the punishment he endures throughout a game. Until he can prove to be a consistent threat throwing the ball (complete some passes young man!), defenses well stack the box and beat him up. Maybe the consistent zero coverage look is going to far, but I'll take our corners in press with over the top help all day against tebow. Seven I the box all day, and wait for the mistakes. Tebow isn't out scoring Tf'nB, I don't care how good the denver defense is.

Bull****, he's never going to last as a QB.

Beside the fact that he already made himself the strating QB of the denver broncos cause he tooke them to the playoffs (not alone ofcourse) - why do you think so?

The intro to today's show was brilliant. Skip standing in line at a coffeee shop listening to his AutoTunes Tebow Remix Rap on headphones....then tipping a guitar player for playing a Tebow song....They definitely are runnin with the Tebow mania.

I really like the show, but it is Tebow AT LEAST 90 percent of the time.

He took them to the playoffs? Wasnt he the QB putting up 10 points a game? Still getting credit for the wins too, laughable. He only had all those comebacks because he put the team in a hole early on. Broncos are a bad team who backed into the playoffs. If the Steelers didn't play so arrogant, Tebow time would be done.

lol right. we also went on a 7 game win streak. but hey backing into playoffs. obviously team is bad right. when they beat the #1 pass defense in the NFl. Tebow is still bad right? Tebow passes for 300 yards more then most elite qbs have done in playoffs in their entire careers... but hey. tebow is still bad. right? He now holds the record for yards per pass. But hey.... he is still bad right?

you obviously have something personal against someone who doesnt even know who you are

Hahahahahahahaha

Maybe he'll pass for three hundred again one game next season.

Well he is going to have to get a lot of better if he wants to keep his job. But this Tebow guy does have some fire inside of him.. if he is dedicated enough to get better he just might be able to hold on to his job. At first I completely counted him out but now I think there is a small chance he improves enough to be a solid NFL QB.

I don't think Skip's ridiculous at all. He defends Tebow a lot because everyone attacks him to a ridiculous level and blindly overlook so many legitimate areas a great quarterback should do well in which Tebow does and has for some time. He's generally been very level headed, and naturally, also correct but he comes out looking like an extremists, because of the extremist opposition he's dealing with.

Every other person who continues to watch a guy play NFL quarterback, complete accurate passes under high pressure, win late in the 4th quarter-every other quarterback gets idolized for being able to do this, while Tebow sucks because he's missing 10% in his completion percentage(something he's only partly responsible for in the first place) and usually it's the other team's defense or some other part of Tebow's team that gets the credit(as if Tebow had big name exceptional athletes around him)-and give him no credit as a passer or quarterback should blame themselves for all this. In other words, guys like Stephen A Smith, is just as responsible as Skip, and they both know it and are selling the entire nation on their incredibly entertaining show. Except...they know better.

It's the people that blindly repeat those type of statements without truly looking at reality that are just as much responsible for Tebowmania as guys like Skip who continue defending him week after week. Skip should defend him every time someone makes those statements. Not to defend Tebow, but because they're simply not true and ridiculous and it speaks badly for what it means to be an NFL quarterback.

I mean it's very much ridiculous when a quarterback performs VERY well in probably 8 out of 10 very important categories as NFL quarterback, to keep saying he can't be an NFL quarterback just because he doesn't look good in 2 of the ones most traditionally focused on. Every year there is an NFL quarterback that ranks 32nd or worse in the league in:

-decision making
-leadership
-mistakes under pressure
-motivation
-work ethic

Problem is we don't track those categories in numbers and we don't have an official list to rank those guys. But I assure you they exist and even this year alone the media and a lot of fans have probably praised some of these deadbeat quarterbacks because they may have looked good in the 4 taken into consideration in the NFL passer rating. Skip's been looking at these quarterbacks for so long that he can probably rank them, unofficially, in those categories and pick out guys like Tebow, who excel in these areas. He's no more crazy or ridiculous for believing in his ability to judge quarterbacks in these overlooked categories as the people who can look at a college prospect and see 150.0 QB rating and say he's going to be great. It takes more skill to do what Skip does in this day and age, than what your less experienced guys do that look at an available list or grade on NFL.com or ESPN.com. That doesn't make a football expert. It makes you an average fan and amateur. Sorry, but it's true. And you just don't understand the complexities beyond that.

And if we did put numbers on those categories, not only would we be focusing more on them than completion %, and probably be even better at finding the type of quarterbacks like Brady who fall through the cracks and end up in the 7th round but we'd also be able able to more accurately predict and avoid the #1 bust.

Why would you ever want the guy that ranks bottom in the league in decision making under pressure, interceptions and leadership who may happen to have a good completion % or lots of yards? You have to be a ******ed analyst, coach, or not understand football to take those guys over a guy like Tebow. You must like losing, because that's basically what you're going to get. Guys like Mark Sanchez. Josh Freeman this year. Michael Vick this year. Surefire losers, who will make one too many mistakes when they are under center. Who cares what their completion % or yards were if its completely nullified by being so bad in those other areas? They played bad enough as NFL passers and NFL quarterbacks, despite their NFL passer rating, to lose you one too many football games.

In reality those are the guys that actually lose their jobs in the NFL and can never get you a playoff win or winning season. Not a guy who's top of the league in those departments at the expense of one or two less important categories...and also happens to make you an incredible amount of money because of his mass appeal. That guy is probably pretty damn safe and a lock as a starter in this league for some time to come. Skip's right on the money and has been for some time.

I give Tebow a little more credit than the other poster you quoted, but Broncos/Tebow fans REALLY need to stop with this "if you criticize Tim Tebow it's because you have something against him personally" bull****. Really, guys, it's wearing thin.

I give Tebow a lot of credit for the win against Pittsburgh. Really, I do. But let's be honest for a second here. Had the Steelers played any other QB in the league, do you really think they'd be lining up in Cover-0 and Cover-1 Robber with as many as 9 guys in the box for a good portion of the game? Props to Tebow, when he had a guy beating man coverage deep he got him the ball, but those chances were only there to take because he isn't respected as a passer in the first place. I've never seen a professional quarterback get that little respect in a playoff game, seriously it was astounding.

I think there has been a huge overreaction to the Pittsburgh game. People are hopping on the "see what happens when you let him loose??!!" bandwagon, but I just don't see it. I don't think for a second he'd be more successful in a traditional offense, or if he was allowed to air it out for prolonged period of time. He is a tough kid who has trouble completing a lot of the passes that an NFL quarterback has to make. His best attribute as a passer is throwing an accurate deep ball, and that's how he'll complete the majority of his passes and make his mark passing the football, but in the end, that's a very limited skillset in this day and age.

Tebow is a very nice young man, and I have absolutely nothing against him personally. Actually, I find myself rooting for him a lot, because he's exciting as a player and likeable as a human being. That doesn't mean I can't think he is a below-average quarterback, though.

You really think you think TESPN is entertaining? The only thing interesting on ESPN since Sunday is the Jets Meltdown.

Tebow is below average and I have nothing against Tebow, but ESPN is just getting plain ridiculous. Drew Brees just lit up the Lions and broke a few records and no mention of him after Sunday? Is that fair? I thought he was considered by most the MVP or something.

The week of the Patriots game - 15 I believe, ESPN was pure Tebow-crazy. Imgaine if he had beat the Patriots... ESPN would've gone straight up nuts to unbearable television. But he loss and so there was barely any mention of him anymore, except when he stunk up the joint against the next two teams. All of a sudden he beats the old Steelers and they are back at it.

All I saw, was Tebow play an old worn out Steelers defense, who didn't even bother to use the blueprint the previous 3 teams used to beat this garbage. It's really nothing to get excited about, the Steelers didn't show up period in that game. I hope the Patriots embarrass this Broncos team just one more time, so I don't have to hear anything else about this Tebow mess.

Tebow has all the intangibles, he also will work to improve as a passer, when you look at his upper body, I wonder if he is too 'thick' and muscular to ever have a quick release and elite NFL accuracy, very unusual build for a QB looks more like A Hernandez than T Brady. Reminds me of A Pujols trying to pitch.....

Would love to see him as a RB with the Pats with the threat of the HB option pass, he would be a good RB IMO.
