Although I go to one Pats game a year, I haven't parked there in quite a while (fiancee lives 10 minutes so she gives me and the guys a ride). What time to the lots along Route 1 open up? We are hoping to tailgate as early as possible. I prefer to not use stadium parking.

Thanks in advance

4 hours before game time. So 9am for a 1pm kickoff.

Stadium lots open at 9am, but we always see lots at The End Zone already in full tailgate when we are on our way in.......they might open earlier........

I always show up at the earliest 4hrs before the game. Sometimes there is an open stadium lot, sometimes there is a line. There's usually plenty of non-stadium lots open though.

i showed up once 30 min before kickoff and it was the biggest mistake of my life(as far as football goes)

For 1pm games, we usually roll in at 10am and we're pretty satisfied.

We park at the lot behind the "Seasonal Specialty Store" on the corner of Pine Street and Route 1. It is always "open" because it is a strip-mall type of place. We actually got there so early for the Monday night Bills game last year that no one was there collecting money yet. Parked for free!

We park in lot 11. It's usually easy in, reasonable out, considering the poor access on route 1. Lot's of space to tailgate.

Can you get there by driving down Pine Street from 115 to avoid the long haul down Rt. 1, or is that one of the many gameday road closures?

Already answered in a PM, but for the benefit of others:

Yup, take 1A to 115 to Pine St. Same thing on the way out. If the lot is full there are a few residences along the street where you can park as well...or you can try to grab a spot at the Lafayette House (assuming that they have a few no-shows...but it takes a lot longer to get out of there).

i cant make my own forum yet but me and my brother are coming up from nova scotia, canada for our first nfl game for the pats against the colts and want to get in on the tailgaiting but have no idea what to do, we will not have a vehicle so would like some advice or an invite to someones tailgate party! thanks

Hey guys, I'm from Quebec City, Canada and I'm coming to the game on saturday with a bunch of friends.

I'd like to know at what time I should show up to the game to have a nice tailgating spot at a walking distance from the stadium. Tailgate is a big part of our trip so we don't want to miss it.

We normally arrive something like 6 hours before the game, would 2 pm do it or should be arrive sooner.

Thanks guys

It is going to get cold (high of 34 and overnight low of 15), so you might want to limit yourself to four hours. As others have noted, the Patriots lots open four hours before kickoff (4 PM in this case). Private lots open earlier (or as noted in my earlier post are just plain open since they are lots for retail shops). How far is walking distance for you and your crew? We walk about a mile.

PM me if you want to join us.

It seems like I can't send a PM since I don't have enough posts.

Walking a mile is not a problem. We're a young group.

The reason why we want to tailgate for that long is because the closest NFL team is 7 hours from Quebec City and we rarely get a chance to go to one, but I guess you're right that with cold, 4 hours would be plenty.

You're tailgating in a private lot? PM me to give me more info. Then maybe I'll be able to answer.

I can't even answer your PM

We're coming by car from Quebec but we'll go to our hotel before, which is in Brockton, east to the stadium

This might be a noob question, but can you tailgate in Gillette Stadium without tickets? From what I read in these forums it seems possible, but on the official Gillette Stadium website FAQs it says only ticket holders are allowed to park on the grounds. I have never been tailgating but want to next weekend. Thanks in advance!

I haven't parked in the stadium lots in sooo long, so I couldn't tell you. I can tell you that you can park at any private lot and a lot of them have an atmosphere as good as the stadium lots.
