Jags hire Mularkey, UGH

Some organizations love mediocrity. Jacksonville should prepare themselves for mediocre offense.

Maybe the hire is designed for the Jags to go on a losing streak of 70's Bucs proportions so the new owner can justify moving the team in the near future.

I don't understand why you're complaining. We play in Jacksonville in 2012.

Congratulations Mike Mularkey, looking forward to an easy win...I mean, to seeing you in Jacksonville.

:singing:

Epic Fail. Falcon fans hate him.

Win win win for the Texans who should become the next dominant division winner year after year like New England.

Indy will be rebuilding,Jacksonville is on the way to rebuilding and Tennessee is missing a bonafide QB.

A bunch of malarkey if you ask me.

he is probably the lowest priced head coach in the league...save the Jags some money ...:rocker:

Well that sure is interesting. Did they not watch the Falcons offensive production against the Giants on Sunday? 0 points with Ryan, Turner, White, Jones, and Gonzalez. What's he going to do with Gabbert, MJD, Lewis, Thomas, Osgood, and Taylor Price?

This is a win for us and not for the Jets as Brian Schottenheimer will not be the Head Coach of the Jaguars and will be staying in New York (at least for now). Also reports say that Bill Callahan who was the O Line coach of the Jets (as to whom many were pulling to replace Schotty) is now going to join the Cowboys next year.

It has to be killing them that we were able to get Josh McDaniels back so fast and hire him before Bill O'Brien even leaves at the end of the season. :D

So this pretty much guarantees Shotty will be back with the Jets, great news.

Their franchise name is the JAGS for a reason.

Only way this makes any sense.

Atlanta Falcons fans, who were losing their offensive coordinator so very soon after the loss to the Giants, were polled for their response:

I really don't get the recycled coaches in the NFL. Why don't these poor to mediocre franchises ever try something or somebody new? Maybe then you'd be successful. Plus, who can take a guy seriously who has a name that you yell out in disgust when you think someone is lying? Sheesh.

The Jags have been horrible on D for years. Don't think Mularkey is going to help too much in that regard.

They should have looked at the fat, obnoxious Ryan brother. (The other one.)

The exception rather than the rule. What has Mularky ever done (well)? When BB put on this nifty get-up he had already been a great defensive coordinator in the NFL, and he had done it again after his failed stint with the Browns before he was re(-hired) by Bob Kraft, who knew what he was getting.

Right division, right position coach, wrong team: the JAGs should've hired Rob Chudzinski from Carolina,
NOT Malarkey from Atlanta & the milquetoast Mike Smith.
