Honestly, San Diego has been generally so irrelevant in the sports world for so long that I hadn't had an opinion on their fans.

And as much as I hate Colts fans, Jets fans, Broncos fans, Yankees fans, Nets fans, Knicks fans, etc., etc. I can say that San Diego fans might be the most annoying and troll-some of them all - and that's only from about 20 hours of exposure.

"I'm Ron Burgundy. Go f*ck yourself, San Diego"

I'm a MA transplant living in New York. My best friends are Jet and Yankee fans. They're cool, naturally, and good fans. But I can honestly say that the Yankee fans from the Bronx are the biggest arseholes in the cosmos.

No one else comes close.

It's like having your first beer. You get all excited, drink too much and puke.

They should take a play out of LT's handbook of being humble.

hey man... olive branch... not ALL of us are lame ass trolls here to screw with your board. please do not paint all of us with the same brush.

All those trolls are probably just PO'd Jest fans who know we'll laugh at any flames they might send our way if they weren't 'in disguise.' Nobody ever gets upset in San Diego. Its against the law or something.

Been lurking @ the SD BB, and it don't get any better over there. A few seem intelligent, confident fans. The rest won't even entertain the idea that there is an opposing team showing up on sunday.

9 pro bowlers, and they are guaranteed a win apparently....

The handful of guys who came here to chat in an intelligent manner remind me of how I expected Chargers fans to be. But mainly it has been a flood of miserable bastards who are surprisingly arrogant as well as clueless about anything other than the most superficial aspects of football, i.e. pro-bowl results or sack totals against the Raiders, ect.

Oh well. I think that we could have had some decent conversations with the handful of intelligent guys that showed up, but at this point we are just playing defense against a bunch of unwelcome sh#theads.

Or the first time you get laid and, well, you know.

Yeah, this is unbelievable. I think we all respect SD. Heck, I expect them to win. But I'm also not counting out the Patriots and I'm surely not annointing the Chargers as SB 41 champions like they are.

I agree with Yankee fans from the Bronx being the WORST.

Fair enough.

Try and keep your fellow SD fans in line.

Yeah, but that's the problem. We are bombarded by trolls and so we end up not having much tolerance for those of you that seem to be good guys. I bet that most of your fan base is alright, but you gotta admit that all the morons seemed to have decended on our website all at once! :D

Anyway, enjoy the game, and come back some time when your troll element has moved on to screw around elsewhere. ;)

Have you guys read the Sign on San Diego Chargers board? It's unbelivable, you would think they have won the last 10 super bowls the way they are talking over there.

Let them get excited for this week. After Sunday they'll go back to forgetting that they ever had a football team.

In all seriousness, I'm in the same boat of not having against San Diego fans. They're harmless by reputation, really.

It's funny, but the SD fans remind me of the Miami fans.

thanks for the "compliments"....:singing:

Dude...no one in their right Chargers Fans minds would say that because we have 9 Pro Bowlers is a slam dunk win against the Pats. We know who we're up against with a Tom Brady lead team. Tom Brady over and over has shown that he can lead a Pats team to victories - no matter what circumstances may bring. He has the rings to show for it.

9 Pro Bowlers...whoopie! I'm sure those guys would trade that for a ring any damn day of the week. We haven't earned anyone's respect until we can beat very storied teams like you guys and whoever else is on our plate to get to Miami and get that Lombardi (which is a short list: Ravens and then the Colts).

Like I said, you guys have what we want. But the road to the Super Bowl must go through San Diego. You know what I'm talking about....you guys have been in this situation before.

9 Pro Bowlers....pfft....give us a damn ring!!!!:rocker:

hey man - not to offer an apology, but to provide context...

here we are in san diego, sunshine capital, and we for YEARS have been hoping and praying for a winning team. sure, we have the padres, and they flare up from time to time, but, well, their history speaks for itself

now - this year's chargers. we expected good things, and got really good things from them. every team expected us to fold in the end, and we won home field and a bye week. this is virgin territory for the modern fan...

and then, we had a week off, and quite candidly, the splits of the 2 afc games last week was about a bad as it could have been for us... i would have MUCH rather have played the chiefs or the jets, but then you had to go and ruin that for us...

so - all this adds up to a pent-up, overly excited fan base.

ok. no excuses for rudeness, but i wanted you to have a flavor of the backdrop.

First of all... let me say that not all Charger fans are dipsh!ts. I've seen a few on here that made me cringe, but trust me they're not all like that.

I post on the forum listed above this post, and got linked here by one of the threads. I usually don't post on other boards, but I figured I might have to this week.

Should be a good game. Nobody is underestimating the Pats, as I'm sure none of the Pats are underestimating the Bolts.

Couple things to note though... I've noticed that many of your fans get caught up in stats to explain the Chargers team. That's a shame. Although stats can tell some of the story, they can blur the rest. I can understand your reasoning because you probably haven't watched too many games that the Chargers have played, so that is all you have to go on.

Let me tell you my point of view from a fan that has seen every game.

This team is good. Very solid all the way around. Plus we now have our entire starting offense and defense healthy. One of my concerns is Rivers. I am not sure how he will handle the game plan that your coaches have for him. If he is rattled early, it could be a long day for the Chargers.

Anyway…
Cheers to all. I may post a few more now that I went through the process.

“Stay classy”

I think you guys aren't looking at it the right way. Of course the posting volume and chest thumping is going to increase. Due to the fact it's the playoffs. It's crunch time & the NFL is going into the home stretch.

C'mon guys don't let some of my fellow Bolt fans get under your skin. It's all for the love of the game right?

Take it all with a grain of salt. Thats why it's called "trash talk". The way I look at it is at least both our teams are here and giving us chance to talk smack.

I actually like the Patriots. I think both teams are pretty evenly matched and it should be a good game.

It's funny, but the SD fans remind me of the Miami fans.

It must be a combination of the warm weather, too many pina coladas, and being unable to sellout your stadium on a consistant basis.
