Respect to Boston and the Patriot Franchise

First, talking Red Sox trash will only endear you to quite a few Patriot fans. Barry Bonds, your joking right? You use the biggest hypocrite in sports to try to make a point. Also, you never mention the Celtics, first to hire a black coach, first to draft a black player, etc. I must say tho, its fairly hard to compare the history of Boston vs San Diego. Kind of like comparing the Red Sox with the Florida Marlins.

Hey, San Diego's a beautiful place. Also, it has a rich history of, ummmm, of, don't tell me...it's a beautiful place.

I've never had a desire to go to boston. In fact I feel like the red sox are asses. I say this because I am also a Padres fan and i assume most of you know what I am talking about. If you don't then comments by johnny Damon saying does anyone know who plays for San Diego anyways, along with comments by doug mirabelli and Tim Wakefield against are city that made the red sox issue a full page apology in the San Diego Union Tribune have left a bad taste in my mouth. Along with Tom Brady not shaking drew brees hand last year and spouting off comments like a crybaby and sore loser at the end of our game last year. Combine this with the fact Boston has a bad history with Rascism. Barry Bonds said he would never play there because of it. And the Red Sox were the last team to get a black player. Now I'm sure Boston is Rich in tradition but I personally have alot of reasons NOT to go there or give the city praise. FYI this isn't the end of my list if you want more I could give it to you. Oh and with all this said I do give props to the pats for winning 3 of 4 bowls.

Being a die-hard Pats and Sox fan, I had built up a mountain of hate for NYC and the Yankees/Jets.

Then I went there for one of my best friends wedding......And absolutely fell in love with the city and the people...I go there every year now and have a blast.

I still hate the Yanks and Jets but not immature and ignorant enough to say what you just did about Boston.

Ok. BTW I am hardly a troll. I dont look to piss people off nor do I just go cursing randomly. I provide facts about my team that support my opinion. As a TRUE DIE HARD Chargers fan I have seen too many of my brothers just get rolled like lil punks. So I take it to teams with a real take on things whether the opposing teams fans like it or not. Of course another teams fans wont like me saying the chargers will beat your team 38-17 for these reasons. They know its the truth and that I have the info to support my way of thinking. I've been on virtually every teams board to talk with their fans and to see what they think and why they think how they think. Nothing wrong with that right? Not like I ever came in here saying... patriots suck tom brady is the gay lover of teddy bruschi or some other things that I have heard from Pats bashers (mostly on the denver board) I can honestly say I've been attacked on this board more than I have attacked others and my attacks have only been in defense of my team. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't been paying attention.

Eh? you've judged and entire city on the basis of the following people:

1. Johnny Damon
2. Barry Bonds
3. Doug Mirabelli
4. Tim Wakefield

what do you expect people from the area to say to you? "Oh....you're right! Boston is horrible. Gee I wish I was a charger fan!"

starting your rant with a bash boston attitude is Trolling, I call 'em like I see em.

just so you know, every day i drive on the Ted Williams Expressway. That's right, ole' Ted is immortalized with a freeway here in SD (about the highest honor one can achieve in southern california :D )

it's a great place with great fans, although obviously, some of our looser-canons are running wild out here...

No one from California has ever bashed Boston. I'm sure of it.

why is it immature to say the reasons that I've never had a desire to go there. I was hoping you guys would give me some reasons TO go. Everything I've ever heard was bad. Well not everything but alot. And being black the rascism part was more than enough for me not to go. I heard alot of blacks dont even wanna go to red sox games because of the rascism in that area. From boston university to the red sox to your government. And then barely even doing any research I come across articles like these.
This is what it's come to for blacks in Boston. Convinced that the white elected leaders Boston is one of the few major American cities that's never had a black mayor, and Massachusetts doesn't have a single black in Congress are afraid to talk about race for fear of committing political suicide[/QUOTE]

...its not what you say its how/when you say it. You trolled onto a thread by a mature San Diego fan and according to your own fans.....posted "senseless drivel". Take a lesson from the classy San Diego fans.

It's true, they are. That is the only intelligent thing you've said in all your 200-plus idiotic posts. Now that your quota is used up, please go away.

I've been to SD twice. I loved both trips. The last one was my honeymoon this past July/August just after the heatwave.

The city and surrounding area are beautiful. Everyone there was pretty cool. There are a ton of transplanted northeasterners (including about 1/3 of my high school class it seems). I did find it intersting that most of the people we encountered needed our help figuring out their own city's public transportation system, but whatever.

As for history, when walking through "Old Town", it struck my wife, a history teacher, that Boston's history began about 200 years ahead of SD's. If you want to go just on sports history, well, why even begin to discuss it?

If you are going to take Barry Bonds' word on Boston, remember one thing, he has never, ever even visited the city. Nor has anyone he has been associated with ever experienced the racism he claims to know so much about. He admitted to both of these in an interview after his assinine comments.

In fact there is an area in particular that I hear is notrious for racism I just can't think of the name at the moment.

South Boston, aka "Southie".

You're out of line for that Red Sox remark, by the way!

Yes Southie isn't the best, but racism, unfortunately, is found in every state. It's not just Mass. Just saying.

SAN DIEGO -- Human rights activists say a new video game is encouraging hate and racism in the debate over immigration reform.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Images: Anti-Immigrant Video Game (Warning: Offensive Images)
Discuss: Illegal Immigration
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The game is called "Border Patrol," and it challenges players to kill as many illegal immigrants as they can.

The computer game puts the player in charge of guarding the border with a loaded gun. The goal to kill as many people as possible, including pregnant women and children. Pedro Risol and other immigration rights activists are outraged.

"It's sole purpose is just to offer violence to the immigration question," Risol said. "It truly is disturbing."

The site plays up the racial overtones of the immigration debate. Those killed during the game are called "wetbacks."

The game is part of a Web site called "The Insurgent." Information on the Web site says that it is based in Temecula, Calif., just north of the San Diego-Riverside county line. The site claims that Tom Metzger, the head of White Aryan Resistance, is responsible for the content.
