Can't believe I haven't seen this thread. For me its the broncos or somehow bengals I forget the standings but I'm sure there is a way we can plan the bengals if they win an someone else happens? Your thoughts on this. Bengals scare me a lil b/c I know they will come out throwing an going for the big play. Hopefully Chung is back healthy and 100%

It hasnt been seen because this is a pretty stupid question Lol.

We want the Bengals no question. As much as I would love to get Pittsburgh up here and wear them out, I don't want to take the chances so hopefully Teebow can work his magic and somehow beat them.

Denver in division game then Cinci in AFCCG works for me.

Edit: oops; two posters point out below this won't happen. But as someone else points out, could happen the other way around. Never mind. ;)

Don't care. :D

Cincy is the #6 seed, they win, they come here, I would like to see Denver, I think that's the weakest opponent between the three.
But no matter who, Pats still need to play.

that cant happen at lest not in that order if Cincy wins they are the 6th seed and would be the first game the pats play, but they can play denver in the AFCCG

After two consecutive and embarrassing one-and-dones, I don't want the Pats to have to beat the Steelers in their first playoff game this year. So, yeah, I'd like the Bengals to win, as I don't see the Steelers getting Tebowed anytime soon.

Then I'd like to see the Steelers and Ravens beat the crap out of each other, with the Pats getting the survivor in Foxboro after hopefully taking care of business against Cincy.

If somehow we didn't get past the Bungles in the Division Round, I think there would be some unpleasant questions to consider that I don't even want to think about at this point.

Kind of cool that you said it was a stupid question then gave the wrong answer. Sure I expect Denver to lose this week but we would rather play Denver first, then Cincy then Pittsburgh IMO although Pitt is awfully banged up.

If Denver wins, it will be on turnovers. Pittsburgh got killed in San Francisco because Big Ben is a Cigar Store Indian on that ankle. Go Broncos!

Honestly, I don't care. I just say rack 'em, pack'em and send them home with a loss.

I think it was discussed quite a bit early in the week but those threads fell off the first page. Also some of the thread titles are ambiguous enough that you wouldn't know that (who do we want to play first) was the main topic of conversation.

To me Pittsburgh is a more formidable opponent than Denver, even with Mendenhall out and Roethlisberger injured, so I'm rooting for the Broncos to win that game. On the other hand if the Bengals and Steelers win then Baltimore and Pittsburgh play each other again, and whichever teams wins that game has a good chance of being physically beat up and emotionally drained heading into the AFCCG. I know it would be very gratifying for the Pats to beat both the Ravens and the Steelers, but I also know their chances of going to the Super Bowl are much better if they only have to face one (or neither) of those two teams.

As for Cincinnati and Houston I see them being fairly equal: not that great at QB, very good receivers, and a strong defense. The Texans are reeling but a win will get their confidence back. Houston also has a better running game so I'll be rooting for the Bengals to win that game.

So to answer your question, to me I would prefer that the Patriots play the Bengals first.

Is it too late to get another shot at the Jets?

Would love to avenge last years fluke and bang them out for a third time :D

In all seriousness I'd like to see the Squeelers again.

I honestly dont care anymore, with Pit banged up a little I wouldnt mind playing them next week! Im worried about possibly facing the Ravens in the Championship game tho.

I'll take some of that! And then how 'bout Atlanta in the SB?

The Bengals provide the greatest chance for victory, so I say bring 'em on.

I would say in order:

1.) Bengals
2.) Broncos
3.) Steelers

Although if the Pats absolutely have to face the Steelers, I would want it to be next week. They are so banged up now, it is the perfect time. In three weeks, they may be far more healthy.

I all fairness to the OP, a strong claim can be made for Denver being the easiest of the bunch. Cincinatti has more talent on offense. Also, as everyone is aware, pittsbirgh is banged up.

Not really. The question was who do we want to play first? Being that Bengals are the 6 seed and Steelers are the 5th, its impossible to play Denver first. So how would that work out?

But my response was wrong....

Denver might be the easiest but we can't play them first. We'd have to play Pittsburgh or Cincy before that happens. Am I missing something here.. with the order?
