Why Was Thread Moved?

I hope certain moderators aren't deciding to move threads based on less than noble intentions.

Why would this relevant thread, discussing the next possible move of a bitter rival, be moved?:

and not these:

http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/10/877302-ot-colts-fire-polian.html

http://www.patsfans.com/new-england.../10/877993-turner-smith-return-san-diego.html

I understand Ian cannot monitor all thread moves, so I'm suggesting, within the moved thread, listing the moderator responsible for moving a thread so as to assure this boards' members that it's not due to pettiness. As I look further, at the bear minimum, someone has a lack of judgement on some of the moves.

I wasn't the one that moved it, but I do understand your confusion.

I used to be far more proactive about moving threads to the NFL Forum where they belonged, but typically the result was that few if anybody would continue the conversation there - and another thread on the same topic would pop up a short while later in the main forum. Eventually I just felt like I was wasting my time. Now I just move them there after they seem to have run their course in the main forum. Perhaps I (and the rest of the mods) should be stricter with the NFL topics until people get the hint.

I will say that though the NFL Forum doesn't get much traffic, the Draft Forum on the other hand is quite busy. I'm thinking that perhaps the person who moved it was thinking it would continue to be discussed quite a bit there, as opposed to other forums that get relatively little traffic.

As far as seeing which mod moved a thread, I don't believe there is an option in the vBulletin software to make that happen automatically - so it would be a manual process of a mod having to add a comment or edit a comment for every thread he moved. I don't know if that's a realistic expectation.

Thanks much for the response.
