For fans at the games

Have you noticed the Gillette Stadium crowd being louder this season? It seems the last few home games I have watched on TV the crowd is almost as loud as other stadiums. The Celtics crowds are loud.. Fenway park is incredibly loud.. the bruins games are loud.. Is there something wrong with Pats fans that go to the games?

I think the crowd as been louder this season. I think that spoiled feeling has gone away and the fans are getting hungry for another win.. we know in the back of our minds the Brady/Belichick regime is closing.

Hard to say, I can't hear the crowd above my own yelling.

I'm starting the challenge right now for all those fans that are going to he game on the 14th. Get lubed early, cut your tailgate parties early and get into the stadium well before the game starts. Be LOUD and strong all game long. Let this team know that you are there and let the opposing team know what a home field advantage is.

No more Pink Hats! I know alot of season ticket holders sold their tickets to these two awful games on a hideous schedule. No excuses ... I don't want to hear about some guy who wants you to sit down, that you are making too much noise! I want it to be deafening, so much so that the opposing QB can't hear himself think!

I don't need Tom Brady or Brian Waters to urge me be loud! Lets Get Loud!

You might want to moderate that drinking a bit, though. Showing up on a two week binge wouldn't be pretty. It would provoke some nostalgia for the old days, though.:eat2:

The fans need to be loud when the defense takes the field..period.

As we saw this past week, a 21-0 game in the first quarter does not always equal a loss. As the team came back the crowd seemed to support the defense, and they came up with many key stops in the second half.

If we're going to equate getting loud with the defense playing like it's 2004 again, then we may not have any homefield advantage at all. It's a new type of football, and a new formula to victory, but the fans participation will be very key in my opinion.

I must say the crowd sunday was the loudest I've heard on TV all season. Maybe someone can spike the drinks of the club seaters and actually get them involved in the game...

That's the one game I remember that makes me believe the place can be loud. Nothing gets a crowd going more than a dominating defense.
Too many third down conversions over the last few years has quieted a spoiled home crowd.
"CUT THAT MEAT! CUT THAT MEAT! CUT THAT MEAT!"

It's the feet that always get you. Thin sneakers and cold concrete don't mix. Wear boots, thick socks and think about Toasty Toes foot warmers. Have fun everybody! I will be there doing my usual shtick (I don't sit down and I don't shut up. My kids think I am an embarassment.). During the playoffs everybody will be right there with me!

Sorry, I just don't buy that Pats fans suck or are not loud. Pats fans are, by and large, the same fans who root for the Celtics and Bruins, and the Garden is very loud during games and particularly playoff games. Anyone who attended a Bruins game during that glorious run knows this.

The construction of that stadium -- open ends, big wine and cheese section, very high and remote upstairs -- kills the noise.

Pats fans should try to make noise on Jan 14 but face it...it will never get all that loud in that venue.

Pretty place Bobby Kraft. But you forgot to factor in how the construction would sap the noise.

I'm not denying that Gilette isn't the Seahawks stadium, but the stadium is as loud as the fans want it to be. The last two games, the cowboys game, and the jets game were as loud as any. It was also pretty loud in the season of Cassel because the pink hats followed Brady to the IR.

I agree. Some (not all) of the "corpies" are a bit spoiled by the success earlier in the decade. I for one am proud to go into a meeting barely able to speak on monday morning.

Lets be honest here, the Gillette crowd has been far from a great crowd that past several years. I blame pink hats, corporate schmucks with limited football knowledge and a lot of entitled younger fans who cheer for louder for Ocho than a sucessful 4th and 1 defensive stand. It's sad.

I'd like to think the fans will bring the hellish loud for the playoff game. Nope, change that. I HOPE they bring the hellish loud.....I'm not counting on it though.

And please, do not get me started on the idiots who have asked me to "please sit down" during a defensive stand.....shoot, I stand for most of the game. My response is to tell them to stand up too....."hey, look at the field, it's a big play coming up"....freakin' schmucks. Can't stand 'em.

I watched a little of Sports Night Sunday this past weekend. Troy Brown and Ty Law both confirmed that the Pats fans aren't exactly the loudest in the league....and by that I mean, many sit on their hands.

Gillette has had it's moments, but I remember the old sh*thole being much louder.

To the people behind me in sec 122. You have done your best to break my spirit this year and keep me down. When you sent Kraft's team op's to tell me I can only stand on 3rd downs I could only listen and slump into my seat.
