Nice benefit of the mild northeast winter--the weather in San Diego looks like it'll be in the 50's for the game next week, which is pretty much what the Pats have been playing in anyway. Throw in the fact that San Diego is not known as a frightening place to play, you're taking away 2 out of the 3 away disadvantages. The 3rd is simply the travel and jet lag.

That SD not a home field will surprise you this year. This is our first year ever there where no Playoff tickets went on sale. All went to Season ticket holders we also went 8-0 at home. I will be there and it will be loud. I know that really wont affect a good team like the Patriots but that does not mean it wont be a factor. Yes there will be some bandwagon fans there but hey I dont care as long and they scream their aaaaarrrrrrsssseeeeee off.:rocker:

And the Patriots were 7-1 on the road including some loud places. Sure we'd like it to be in NE but the Patriots can handle the road and the crowd. If the Chargers win it won't be because of you yelling.

it's gonna be loud constantly when sd and ne are on offense.

Too bad, Junior and Rodney are out for that game it would have been a lot of fun. But since they're not playing then I guess LT & Co. will take off the gloves on Sunday.

Here's to an injury-free game. Welcome to the Q for those easterners trekking in and make sure to bring lots of tissue paper.

Final score: Chargers 27 - Pats 10
'
:D

Rodney's not out for sure yet. I expect he'll be out but don't count on it yet.

Will see you in the Parking lot Pats fans. I know most of you guys think we are Latte drinking wussies that dont know squat about football but hey every team we play from the East says the same thing. Football is played here and it will be a great game and tailgate. All fans welcomed. We always adopt road team fans that come in small groups and want to party. They leave thinking alot diffrent of San Diego fans. In a good way :p

I cant stand flying because of the Jet lag. I dont know if Pro athletes are used too it, because of traveling often during the season, or if it does bother them. When i travel i need a whole day to get my head straight. Between the time zone change, and the air pressure changes, im totally shot.

You ask any team that has played us in the playoffs at home how loud we are. This is not an easy place to play.

The Bolts have superior quickness, speed and athleticism, so good weather favors them. The slow-footed Pats would have an advantage in bad weather as the poor traction would negate some of the Chargers' speed. But you go ahead and spin it anyway you want. :rocker:

I have been there and your crowd sucks. During the raider games you all sit there like chicken****s and say nothing.

Not to mention the last time the Jets beat you ( 05) :D and before that the COlts beat you ( 95) :D

Why not go back to 92 and ask the dolphins or chiefs? lol No really the stadium is much louder because we installed more seats to host the 98 and 02 super bowls. Combine that with more seats being put in because of the padres getting there own stadium and a bunch of fans hungry for a super bowl win and its a loud place. You saw the eli manning game last year right? Expect worse than that.

were you even born in 92? :D

Not to be very picky, but how many teams has that been. Do I need my second hand to count????? :D

I didn't say it was alot, just that it was loud. I don't expect the Pats to lose because of crowd noise, but it's not like they are going to a golf club to play. The Q will be as loud on Sunday as Mile High was for the Pats last year, and that won't help.

But I do think the Chargers will feed off the crowd's energy. They have done that all year.

Is San diego speed kind of like that vaunted SEC speed we've seen on display recently in the Outback Bowl? And tonight's game, for that matter?

Or is it more like the Rams speed from the Greatest Show on Turf?

exactly. The fact we havent had alot of home playoff games is a major factor as to why our crowd will be extra loud and excited. Plus bolt fever has struck san diego just like in 94.

also knoiwn as bandwagon fever. that is ok after sunday it will all be over :rocker:

When were you here? Last time I was at the Q for a Raider game was '04 and the Bolt fans were anything but quiet. In fact, I've been to almost every Bolt/Raider game in SD since 1980 (when I was 4), and the Charger fans have never backed down from the Raider fans.

In the '92 playoffs when the Bolts hosted the Chiefs, my eardrum ruptured at one point from the crowd noise. It was the loudest I've ever heard a stadium, and I've been to many, including Arrowhead.

lol u dont waste time huh? Mostly everyone going is a season ticket holder so bandwagoners i think not. Maybe a few but most are die heard bolt heads like me who will scream til their voice is gone and then some.

2006

san diego pct of capacity home games: 93.1

new england: 101.1

LOL They have no clue what the Chargers RAider game means. Forget yankees redsox. When it comes to a serious rivalry this is it. Only difference is this rivalry is more about cities than teams and even so the team rivalry is pretty high. San Diego Vs. L.A. and San Diego Vs. Oakland. Nor Cal VS SO Cal. Plus the Nortenos and Surrenos fighting. The Charger raider game is the one time a year where they all come together and brawl. Didnt you guys see on sportscenter a couple years back when the whole bottom bowl was fighting. I'm lookin for a video of the parking lot where these fights were. you've probably seen it and didnt know where it was.

I usually go to every raider charger game in sd because my ex-college mate is a manager for aramark and gets me tickets.

you charger fans are LAME LAME LAME. chicken****ted babies. The raiders take over that stadium :bricks:

We've won 2 AFC championships in Pitt during this run, you guys are a bunch of pu****s compared to the Steeler fans.

It should be noted that they don't open up certain sections of the stadium unless it is a big game. So the 93 is misleading. we did after all sellout all our games. regardless the argument isnt about pat fans or what they do hell we blew you guys out last year with your 101 pct crowd. This game will be sold out and the Q will be rockin.

Qualcomm never rocks. Really
