Before you start preparing for the Steelers

I've been telling anyone who can listen (which is nobody) that if they meet the Broncos will beat the Steelers in the playoffs for the last couple of weeks............

I don't see it.

Watching Denver highlights ever since the Pats game, I see a seriously flawed offense. I'd be shocked if they beat the Steelers.

Wonder why no one is listening?

Maybe you only asked people who watched Denver's last 3 games?

Can't we all just agree on one thing:

GO BENGALS

In regards to the Steelers, the past history is against them

Only 2 times in NFL History has a SB loser won the SB the next season and you have to go all the way back to Miami in '72 and on top of that.....

The last time the SB Loser was able to get to the Conference Championship game the next season was the Bills,20 years ago.

Every time the SB loser was able to get to the playoffs the next season...they lost in either the Wild Card Round or Divisional game.

yup

pitt is going to win...denver has a horrible offense that failed to get more than 3 against KC

OK? What does that game have to do with them playing Pittsburgh? Who gives a damn.

How did GB do against KC's defense?...

All this being said, I think Tebow sucks and Denver will lose, but not because of the stupid reasons you listed.

Your reasoning reminds me of "Team A will beat Team B because Team A beat Team C that also beat Team B." Irrelevance. lol

The Broncos will shock the Steelers and win 10-7

I don't see how the Steelers make it to the AFC title game. I really don't. If they had won the 1 seed, def...However, I think they have a lot of bad omen surrounding them and will run out of gas.

I don't own a farm. But if I did, I'd bet it on the Steelers.

Denver winning will not help, but may even hurt, the Pats. Why? Because if the Broncos win then Baltimore gets Denver or Houston. A much better scenario to root for is Cincy winning AND the Steelers winning. That way we get the Bengals and Baltimore has to deal with Pitt for a 3rd time this year.

Sure, Cincy could put up more of a fight (but they only beat one team with a winning record and lost 7 to playoff teams) than Denver, but we should still hammer them. Meanwhile, Baltimore has to beat down an ultra-motivated and talented Steelers squad. Then we get the battered and bruised winner; you could hardly script a better sequence.

No doubt, we all agree that is the perfect scenario.

The reason people are bringing up the possible DEN win, is because most of us also assume that CIN isn't very tough, and will lose to a pumped up (albeit flawed in many ways) HOU team in Houston.

We are obviously going to root for Cincy like mad, but are hoping that at least one of the two games go our way, and many are not going to depend on the Cincinnati Bengals to get it done on the road with a rookie QB.

To me, I'm honestly afraid that neither CIN or DEN will win, but at least Denver's at home etc.

After last year, I think I'm not going to root for anything WC weekend and just hope for some good games. All 3 years we won the SB we faced some damn good teams on the way. Of all the opponents Carolina was probably the most favorable matchup and they were damn tough. Lately we've lost to a bunch of teams that were 9-7/10-6.

As far as Tebow time goes, it usually doesn't kick in until the Broncos ABSOLUTELY need it to. Maybe God let them lose the last 3 because they didn't need to win them :eek: So if I'm the Steelers I make damn sure the game is not within reach in the 4th.

Tebow will struggle much more to get 13..than the steelers will..even with a gimpy ben..but by then he may be 100%

The Steelers average under 16 points a game on the road. The Broncos have a good defense.
It doesnt really matter how much they struggle to get there, it matters whether they get there or not.
I don't expect the Broncos to be able to score a lot of points vs Pitt, but there is an excellent chance the Bronco defense will shut down the Steeler offense too.

I think an opponent coming off a hard fought win vs a good team is more dangerous that a team coming off a blowout win over a bad team.
I know that a team coming off a blowout win over a good team is the most dangerous of all.
If you fear the AFCCG vs either Pitt or Bmore, you should fear it more if those teams meet in the divisional round and one of them destroys the other.

I dont think they WILL but they certainly can. If they play solid defense vs the Steeler offense Tebow won't have to do too much.

Personally I'm gonna take the over and the Broncos to win.

Good luck with those 2 wagers...

With the total set at 35 currently, I suppose that a 21-14 game is not out of the question; however I do find it rather unlikely as it may end up a pretty low scoring game.

Honestly this Denver vs Pitt game has a weird feeling to it. I really think the Broncos will win and the Steelers era of dominance will come to an end or at least have a slight hiccup. That aging defense and holes on the O-Line and at TE and RB are catching up to them.

Era of dominance? They missed the playoffs 2 out of last 5 years. **** Pittsburgh.

Having either Denver or Cincy come to Foxborough would be a very good thing.

It's hard to say who the best shot is currently, as the Bengals are 3 point underdogs, but may have a worse shot at coming away with a win than Denver, who are 9 point underdogs--but are at home.

I remember the Steeler fans last yr, acting like they just won the SB when the Jets upset NE..they'd be nothing sweeter than returning the favor this yr with celebrating a Pittsburgh loss to Denver.
