Sure, I'll admit this means nothing towards this weekend's game, but still an interesting fact to share..

...since the NFL adopted the 4 division format in 2002, there have been four teams before this season to enter the NFL playoffs at 8-8 or worse. All four teams won their first round game.

2004 (8-8) Vikings win at Green Bay
2004 (8-8) Rams win at Seattle
2008 (8-8) Chargers win vs. Indianapolis
2010 (7-9) Seattle win vs. New Orleans

The 8-8 Denver Broncos will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend.

I don't own a farm. But if I did, I'd bet it on the Steelers.

All good things must come to an end.

Cincy will win..so we will be playing them

thats a pretty cool stat, i think Tebow will give them all he's got + the steelers dont get alot of turn overs and if that game comes down to the last drive and Tebows got the ball they are winning

Cincy has a rookie QB who has never been in the playoffs going on the road to face a D with a lot of pass rushers. It will be impressive to see him win under those circumstances.

according to you yesterday, we aren't even in this position today ... grasshopper

According to you yesterday...the pats were going to give up their normal let down TD drive...and it didn't happen....grasshopper

I saw your posts and how negative you were...but thanks for staying on my nuts mr troll

Just like yesterday when Tebow led the Broncos on that 4th qtr drive...oh wait..interception.
I think the Broncs are done.

Tebow sucks..yeah he can run the option but against that D? Yeah denver will score 7-10 pts

Interesting..One thing in the Broncos favor is that NO ONE is giving them a chance and is already placing the Steelers in the divisional round. A team with "nothing to lose" is the most dangerous especially at home. I will still predict the Steelers, but now that I hear so many talking heads just about making the Broncos an afterthough, they better watch out. Crazy things happens in Denver. Nothing ever happens the way it should.

Tebow got blow out in buff and only scored 3 vs KC...Steelers will win by 17+ IMO

That could be enough. If Denver wins it is in spite of Tebow and because of their defense and Pittsburgh weak offense.
There is every reason to believe Tebow will struggle to get 13 points on the board, but also every reason to believe the Steelers may struggle to get 13 too.

It was evident that the success that Tebow enjoyed was largely due to the fine performances of the defense and Matthew Prater during their winning streak. Tebow made some nice plays, but he was hardly the linch pin the media were painting him as.

If Denver is going to win, the defense needs to play a lights out game with Dumervil and Miller dominating the line.

As I said, to win it will be in spite of Tebow, but the Bronco defense and Steeler offense can make that possible.
Frankly the Broncos should build a game plan around 3-4 trick plays that could get them on the board. The only way they will is to hold Pitt under 14, so they should come up with an offensive game plan that sacrifices plays to set up 14 points.

Or Tebow's Faith in the Lord is renewed as he meets God face to face ....curtsy of Mr. Harrison

Tebow will struggle much more to get 13..than the steelers will..even with a gimpy ben..but by then he may be 100%

Why is it that people think that Ben's ankle is going to be magically healed by the time the Steelers play Denver in Denver?

Since Ben hurt it, he's continued to play on it. He's also continued to practice, though not as vigorously as normal.

I've had plenty of sprains and such, but using it never made it better quicker. On the contrary. Using it made it worse..

I've been telling anyone who can listen (which is nobody) that if they meet the Broncos will beat the Steelers in the playoffs for the last couple of weeks.

The Steelers are the most complete team in the league - albeit a banged up one - but I think the Broncos are specifically built in a way that will go against Pittsburgh's strength. Their defense.

Tebow isn't going to melt in the pocket under pressure or big hits from James Harrison and it won't take that many prolonged drives relying on the run to give the Broncos enough of a lead that their defense will keep the Steelers from beating.

Personally I'm gonna take the over and the Broncos to win.
