Looking ahead and in the best interest of my favorite team on the planet i've been wondering if its time for a new "voice" for our beloved New England Patriots. I dont mean Gil and Geno either. I believe Belichick has taken this team as far as HE can. He's had opportunities over the past 5 years, while shopping for all the groceries AND cooking them too, to take advantage of having one of the best QBs of all time. His "Defensive Genius" title is all but ancient myth and he's too stubborn and stuck in his ways to bring in real help. Don't get me wrong, i LOVE him for all he's done and tried to do, but i'm getting sick watching Brady get older and our defense get worse year after year. It's just my opinion and thats what these forums are for, but i truly believe that its time for belichick to go. For those who are still drunk on the kool-aid, lets see in 5 years if my opinion bears fruit. I REALLY want to make clear that i LOVE this TEAM. No matter who plays on it, coaches it, runs it etc, first and foremost i root for the colors. I just really REALLY feel like a new voice or someone who can get this defense to a respectable level would really help take care of the few(5?) years brady has left. The offense is strong enough to win a Championship. I believe they've been winning in SPITE of poor defensive personnel, schemes, decisions and coaching. I just dont want to see the defense cost us one again like it has since the '06 season! Should be an interesting next (hopefully) 6 weeks! GO PATS!!!!!!

Why BOB? I heard Schotty was looking for a new job and he has so much experience. He's too good for the Jets.

LOL. Wow i guess the kool-aid is stronger than even i imagined! God FORBID i have a negative opinion of a team i've rooted for my whole life. Instead of all the whining how about some strong opinions or conversation? Like i said, truth will be told when Brady retires. I just hope he leaves with at LEAST one more title as his play is certainly deserving and worth that. Flame on...

Seriously? I could make a similiar one with SHEEP if i wanted to stoop down to that level. I'm thinking outside the box. You dont like it? Fight back with opinion instead of wasting everyone's time with crap.

Really?? So Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore etc would swap defensive "Gurus" and schemes?

Given your O.P., aren't you asking for something you didn't bother with in the first place?

It's good to have an open mind, but not so open that your brains fall out.

Who would you like to have as head coach here?

You know what else is thinking outside the box? Getting on all fours naked with your arschenhaller directly aligned with the tip of a lit model rocket while wearing a sombrero. Doesn't mean it's necessarily all that bright or particularly flattering to have appear on the internet.

Yup, Tastes a lot better than the kool-aid most reactionary posters here are still drinking. I'm glad you're all ecstatic about our future and defense! Seriously, its my opinion and we'll see in 5 years whether i was thinking along the right lines or not. Flame me then

But he didn't say that though did he? He said that the other 31 teams would like for Belichick to not be our coach.

No need to make things up.
